Y/N's POV
"Taehyung, get out of my way" Jungkook said with a serious tone.
Taehyung's smirk widened and his fang on the side showed. "Jungkook, my little brother..." with a quite silly tone Taehyung spoke as he began to walk closer to Jungkook slowly and confidently. "...and the queen with the ring" he added as he glanced at me and raised his eyebrows. His eyes sparkled a little once his eyes met mine. I felt uneasy, and without thinking I hid behind Jungkook, as if I'd be safer being closer to him...
Taehyung's smirk turned into a silly smile, "Oh, don't be scared your majesty" he said then chuckled a little, "I'm also here to..." he paused for a second to think, then continued, "... to help you escape? I assume?" And then chuckled again.
"Y/N, stay near me, he's too dangerous" Jungkook commanded as he pulled me closer to him with his right hand. "I know what you want from her, but I won't let that happen" Jungkook spoke, glaring at the guy on front of him in an unsatisfied way, like an attacker, yet, at the same time he stayed still and controlled.
Taehyung's smile loosened up as he said after "Jungkook we need the ring".
"No" Jungkook replied immediately, "we don't."
Taehyung chuckled, "Don't tell me you decided to betray us over our enemy, I thought you were much better than this" he said, then his smile disappeared.
"I've already told you the reason why I'm doing this, but you and our brothers did not believe at my statement" Jungkook said.
Taehyung continued glaring at Jungkook, as he slightly clenched his jaw. Jungkook stayed still, still protected me with his right hand, not letting me go anywhere especially near Taehyung. "Do you know how much powerful we would become if we have got the ring, right?" Taehyung said as he lowered his head on the side, not getting his gaze away from the brother even by a second.
"Snitching the ring away from her just like that would kill her," Jungkook replied, "I'm going for the object that would get this ring off, It'll save her, and, however, let the ring to get away"
"Why do you even care about this girl's life?" Taehyung spoke right after Jungkook's statement, with a little growl as if he was holding his annoyance from this all, yet at the same time tried to not show this kind of behaviour. "So what if she dies, as long as we will have the ring," he added then chuckled, "besides…if we will have the ring, then no one else will get trapped in it in the future….so we'd basically save hundreds of victims from this thing AND get what we want."
Jungkook stayed silence, yet his glare to Taehyung didn't fade. Suddenly, I felt his hand, slowly grabbing my wrist then holding it tight. I glanced at him, who still seemed to not make a single move, patiently waited for Taehyung next comment.
A small silence covered the area, until Taehyung broke it shortly. He sighed and mumbled, "Then I guess you'd want to do it in a hard way"
Jungkook gave a little confused look as Taehyung already began to do his first move. He was like a flash when he out of nowhere already appeared beside me. He grabbed my other wrist before I realised that, however Jungkook quickly reacted and pushed Taehyung away from me. Jungkook's push made Taehyung swing all the way to the wall as afterwards made him fall on his back. Jungkook then dragged me away from this area. He ran quite fast, but I managed to catch up to him with all my strength, though, his hand was likewise still holding tight with mine.
Narrator's POV
"Keep running, I'll catch you two soon anyway" Taehyung mumbled as he chuckled. He got up from the floor and watched Jungkook and Y/N running further and further, until they disappeared from his sight. Taehyung smirked and sighed, "The ring will be mine one day..." he mumbled.
Y/N's POV
I began to feel tired, slowly slowed my steps to catch with some breath, without realising it. Jungkook seemed to notice that since I felt his grip on my wrist tightened, which prevented me from running any slower. Luckily, very soon we stopped behind a corner, which was leading into another hallway that had different designs in it.
The corridor that we were in was much darker than the other two. It looked very empty, as if there were barely anyone who ever visited in here. The whole surrounding just gave me a dead vibe, it even felt much colder in here, compared to other places in the castle that I've been to. The walls were covered in dark colours, with no patterns or anything. Just black walls around. Kind of creepy I'd must say, but with Jungkook beside it didn't seem that scary. However, there were ceilings too, but its brightness wasn't as strong as the others were. I still managed to see around, but hardly...
As we stopped, Jungkook looked around, to make sure no one was nearby. Then he turned to look at me as he grabbed both of my shoulders, and spoke quietly as he breathed rapidly, "Y/N, we're almost here, if the brothers won't bother then I will manage to get you out of here"
What a relief! I'm so close to get out of this place.
"Where are we going anyway? And how can you help me?" I asked Jungkook, kept my eyes locked with his.
"We are going into the laboratory, that has the equipment to get rid of the ring of you" Jungkook replied.
"What equipment?" I asked another question.
"The key" he replied then began to walk to the door that wasn't far away from here. I followed him.
"The key…" I thought, a little confused since the ring didn't seem to be something that had a lock body in it.
"The key will let the ring get off by itself" he explained, "It weakens the ring, making it loosen up and slide off, which should, hopefully, let you free. The other person who was captured with this ring before you, managed to escape, therefore it should help you too" he added as he opened the door and led me to go in first. Once we entered, he locked the door behind him. I looked at him in confusion, why would he lock the door?...
Jungkook looked at me and seemed to understand what I was about to ask him. He said, "Don't worry it's not a trap, I locked it in case my brothers would find us and try to open it, it could give us extra time to get you out of here"
I nodded and felt relieved.
The laboratory that we went in wasn't big but had some scientific stuff around. It didn't have any surgery stuff but had some things that would be used for observing the moon or stars, likewise a giant telescope was included. As I looked around, shortly Jungkook found the key on one of the black shelfs nearby. The key looked...interesting, once Jungkook brought it closer for me to observe.
The key didn't look like any other door keys or lockers but looked like a needle with no pointy sides and with a stone on the side of it. The stone looked like a diamond, but with rainbow colours. I felt a vibration from my ring as soon as Jungkook came closer to me with that "key".
The ring on my finger continued vibrating and turned slightly brighter than before. "Is this a normal reaction of the ring?" I asked the boy who gently grabbed my hand, ready to make a connection between the key and the ring.
"It should be alright, it reacted like that before" Jungkook replied, "However, it didn't glow like that..."
Jungkook paused for a minute, thought for a second, before placing the key on my ring. "But no matter what, it should make the ring leave you, and you'd automatically teleport back to your world."
I nodded again and glanced back at the ring, which continued to glow and vibrate. Jungkook placed the diamond side of the key into the ring's stone, and these both stones magnetized, which made the ring to stop vibrating...
"It stopped vibrating..." I mumbled.
Jungkook stayed silent, while holding the key on the ring.
We waited for about 10 seconds. "Hm... that's kinda strange" Jungkook mumbled nervously but stayed still.
"Nothing's happening, is that a normal thing?" I asked, suddenly feeling anxious.
Jungkook replied with, "I don't know" and from then the ring suddenly flashed its colours and created a small yet powerful explosion, throwing Jungkook and the key on the side. Jungkook fell on the side of the large table that was in the middle of the laboratory. "Jungkook" I shouted his name out, as the ring continued to glow again.
As I was about to run to Jungkook, the sudden vibration of the ring distracted me, and this time it felt a little stronger than before.
Once I glanced back to Jungkook, he seemed to be already on his feet again, however, he also seemed to be a little hurt since he hit his head by the edge of the table from the fall. "Ow" he groaned, as he scratched a little on the side of his head.
"Jungkook, are you okay?" I called him again, worriedly.
"I'm fine, don't worry" Jungkook replied as he glanced back at me, and then at the ring. The ring continued behaving strangely, and its brightness turned a little brighter. Its strange behaviour made me feel weird inside, as if it connected me with its power, which made me feel a little dizzier.
"Jungkook, I don't feel good" I mumbled as the boy already walked closer.
"Y/N, no matter what, try to stay calm" Jungkook said, worriedly.
"Calm?" I questioned confused.
"Yes, I believe the ring began to share its powers with you..." Jungkook said, then backed away from me a little, "I was scared this would happen, but if you panic or worry, then you may not be able to stable its power, which will make you lose control and destroy everything, including yourself"
The statement he gave me already made me feel uneasy but as he told me I tried to calm myself down, to not make things worse. However, the sudden loud knock from the door made me jump, giving me a little worry for a few seconds. Surprisingly, this was enough time for the ring to create its next move, it flashed the electric laser, which hit right to the wall that wasn't far away from Jungkook.
"I'm sorry!" I spoke as I looked at Jungkook who thankfully didn't get hit but this sudden laser.
"Just…" Jungkook began to speak, "don't stress too much-" then the more knocks interrupted Jungkook.
"You really think locking this door would save you?" A familiar voice came from the door came, which brought more worries for both me and Jungkook. The voice was identical to Jimin's, which we assumed it was him. However, i felt like he was not the only one behind that door...
"The found us…" Jungkook mumbled then spoke, "Y/N, listen here" he turned to face me, "take this key, in case if we get separated, wait for the right moment to use this so you would escape from here" he quickly handed me the key for the ring.
"Right moment? When's going to be the right moment?" I asked as I felt uneasy once again.
"You'd find out about it yourself" Jungkook's last words were pronounced as suddenly the door wide opened, and two people entered, Jimin and Namjoon.
"Guards!" Namjoon shouted with a raspy voice, "take them away"
"Jungkook?" I called his name worriedly as I also felt helpless, yet it was too late for the call. About ten guards immediately arrived and five of them gathered around Jungkook, grabbing him from both arms. At first, he hesitated, tried to rip the grip from them, then gave up as he knew he wouldn't be able to escape from the strong arms of five guards. Very quickly he was taken away from the room.
"Be careful with the queen, she's dangerous" Jimin commanded the last five guards who already ran towards me. They gathered around me as two of them already grabbed both of my hands.
"Let me go!" I screamed, fighting to escape from them, even though I knew they were much stronger than me, "I'm not dangerous, I swear! All I want is to escape this chaotic place" I added, suddenly felt angrier, which seemed to effect on the ring. The ring splashed two more electric lasers, and the last one hit one of the guards, who then collapsed and fell to the floor. The guard tried to stand up but was too weak…oh no.
"As I said, be careful with her, or you'd end up just like him" Jimin added then pointed at the man who was on the floor, this time he seemed to be unconscious.
The four last guards gulped from the statement, then continued dragging me away from the room. I felt useless to fight anymore, likewise the fact that I hurt the person with this stupid ring, made me feel shook, likewise, made me feel like I'm some sort of monster who was getting put back into the zoo. Not having Jungkook near me, made me feel…unprotected, however, I still had hope that someday I'd get out of this place, since the key that he gave me before disappearing from my sight, gave me a positive feeling that this thing would finish its job that wasn't completed back in the laboratory.
