Y/N felt nervous and uncomfortable as soon as she realised that Hoseok was the one who pushed her off from the upcoming train in a railway. When she opened her eyes, she noticed herself laying on the grass and Hoseok was on top of her, exhaustingly looking at her and asking, "Are you okay?" Then he got up, and continued breathing heavily as if he was running for a long time.
Y/N soon got up too and shook off the grass from herself, then glanced at Hoseok and said, "Thank.." yet he interrupted her by saying, "What was that all about?" With a disappointed tone.
Y/N didn't say anything since she felt a little bit surprised from Hoseok's reaction. She thought he would be worried for her since he saved her, but instead he seemed dissatisfied as if all this coincidence happened on purpose. Y/N looked away. she didn't know how to answer to Hoseok's question therefore she expected him to continue, which lately he did and added, "I followed you since I heard you were shouting at someone but no one was around, are you mentally ill?" He asked, looking at her as he put his hands to his pockets.
"No one was there???..." Y/N thought confusingly. Y/N carefully thought of how this all ended up in here, and as much as she knew there was somebody who she was chasing for. "But...this all can't be just my illusion?" she thought, breathing nervously. Then she looked away, losing in her deep thoughts, trying to find an explanation for this all.
"Um...is something wrong?" Hoseok asked, looking at her worriedly. Y/N turned around and paused once her eyes met his, yet the silence wasn't long, and soon she replied, "There was somebody who ran before me-" and then she paused again as she thought that Hoseok may think of her as a mentally sick person.
Hoseok didn't say anything back after her comment, yet his expression remained confusing. He didn't know how to answer to her situation, therefore he decided to tell Y/N the full story, "Listen, I heard you shouting to someone, so I followed you, however there was nobody around." He said with a clear voice, "I only saw you running by yourself."
Y/N couldn't believe on what she had just heard, "This can't be real..." she thought, and felt trapped from the inside. She thought she was in another nightmare, yet this was impossible. Soon a realization hit her, "My books!" she squeaked, then looked around and her books laying on the grass near the railway, with 4 papers with drawings laying separately from each other. Y/N without thinking twice stormed to collect them all.
Hoseok thought of helping her, until he felt he stepped on something solid. He moved his foot away and noticed, the ring with two coloured stone, shining bright together like sparkles. He immediately grabbed it to put it in his pocket, however as soon as he touched it, it burned his finger as if he touched a flame that was heating hellishly. "Ouch!" He very quietly pronounced, dropping the ring back to the grass. Then he noticed Y/N finished collecting her last piece of paper, and was ready to come towards Hoseok, and he immediately stepped on the ring to hide it under his shoe.
"Are you sure you haven't seen anyone else with me?" she nervously asked, looking into his eyes deeply.
Hoseok didn't say anything but nodded. Y/N came closer, feeling suspicious of this guy. He looked confused yet stayed still.
Y/N's POV
I felt like this guy was lying, but at the same time he seemed like an honest person. I also felt like he was hiding something from me, but that didn't bother me much. The thing that bothered me is the nightmare that I had of the ring, in where he was in it too. This is kind of strange, to see a stranger from a dream into reality. I wonder if he also has the same name as the copy of him from my dream, therefore when I came closer, I asked, "What is your name?"
I noticed he felt a little bit confused, from my unexpected question. I mean, who wouldn't be if we just had a topic about my "illusion" and then here I am asking him his name out of nowhere. The silence didn't take long, and soon he replied, "Oh! My name is Hoseok" he smiled and scratched behind his head.
Hoseok? The guy from my nightmare was also known as Hoseok...did my dream wanted to tell me something? I felt a little bit unease since I expected him to introduce himself with a different name. I thought if he was named differently, then I would accept my nightmare as nothing, however things are getting a bit stranger for me. Firstly, the ring, and now him. I felt like I was in danger, yet something was telling me that Hoseok wouldn't harm him...maybe.
Possibly I was just overthinking, and all of that is just a coincidence. I stayed still, thinking about this all until I heard his voice, "Are you alright?"
I looked up at him and noticed something behind him. It was the black silhouette again! "Hoseok behind you!" I screamed as I closed my eyes from fear.
"There's nobody behind me?" I heard Hoseok's confusing voice. I opened my eyes, and saw him looking behind, but there was nobody. What an earth is going on? This make me feel scared and insecure. Am I really mentally ill? I looked around, to make sure the creature wasn't anywhere near. Nobody was around except me and Hoseok. However, shortly, a sudden reminder hit me. I still had a lesson to attend at 9am, therefore I checked the time on my phone. The time showed 11.24am, so I gasped and felt goose bumps running through my body of fear. I felt like I would get in so much trouble for being late, and my excuse won't be a necessary since I already knew my teacher won't believe me. "Oh no! I'm late" I said. Without thinking twice, I waved goodbye to Hoseok and immediately ran away back to university, leaving the dancer behind.
Narrator's POV
As soon as Y/N ran away, Hoseok went to see if the ring he stepped on was still there. However, it wasn't on the grass anymore, and nowhere near as if it has just vanished into the thin air. Hoseok couldn't believe it so he went to look for it, yet there was no sign of it. "Strange, I'm pretty sure it was around here..." he thought as he sighed and looking at his burned pointy finger.
Within 12 minutes, Y/N managed to reach to her university. She decides to check the time again. She put her hand in her pocket to take her phone out, but there was something else in there too, which was a small object. Y/N took her phone out first, and then the other item. Turns out the object she found in her pocket was the same ring she saw earlier that was with 2 coloured stone, shining brightly and magically.
"How did it get there...?" Y/N thought surprisingly as she looked at the accessory with sparkles on her eyes from the reflection of the ring. A little long stare for this ring made her to forget about everything. She forgot about the time and the class that she had to attend as soon as possible. All she had in mind was the ring that she was holding, as if the accessory was hypnotizing her with its beauty. Y/N felt as if this beautiful thing with its unique perfection was pulling her to put it on her finger. Will she wear the ring?
