RAFAEL
Light, a bright light was the first thing that I saw when I had my eyes opened, squinting, and scrunching my face as a sharp pain seemed to pass through my head.
A strange feeling occurred to me as a face loomed above, momentarily blocking the bright light that was beginning to be bothering my vision.
"Detective," the stranger said. It took me a moment to realize that he was calling me. I blinked, not knowing what he meant.
'Detective.' The word echoed inside my head, a brief flash of an image of a woman had overtaken my sight. She had long hair and golden-brown eyes, a faint smile was plastered on her face. Her voice caused my heart to flutter, her calling me with the very same title.
After a minute, it was gone and the stranger's face registered in my vision once again.
"You don't remember anything, do you?" I stared at him, trying to process what he was saying.
