Pia's POV

I found my self in the midst of forest, trees are all around and tall trees sounding me. I ran as my feet could carry ..... eight years of my life I have been held as captive in there. I hate that man for making me miserable.

First he killed my parents and kept me captive for five years. I am not strong enough to stand up to him.

I would have torn his heart out , all I know is that he is a gem hunter, and is strong. Sometimes I wonder the kind of power he possesses

I continue running again not caring where I was going . I just wanted to leave them and that horrible place. All I do there is wash dish, prepare meal , wash their smelly toilet and go to bed late

Living underground all day and not able to see sun most of the times, that place is more than horrible.

Eventually I found my self at somewhere like an high way. I tried stopping any car at my sight but all the cars seems to be expensive for someone dressed like me. I wore a light blue tank top and a jeans and my hair is up in a messy bun.

After couple of minutes standing and waiting for any help. No one is going to help me, I should just keep walking and I would stop whenever I get tired .

Just as I decided to use my feet and walk to wherever I could, the cloud started rumbling as if this couldn't get any worse I thought to my self.

The rained started pouring heavily. Fortunately for me a red SUV stopped besided me and startled me and I jumped on my feet.i stared at the car it is neat.

"Hop in" the lady in the car said .... I thought for a while if I should or not then thought wherever she is taking me would be much better than the shit hole am running from . Then I got into the front seat . I sat down calmly expecting the worse. The car looked colourful.

"Hi am sirena what's your name" she asked smiling. Am definitely liking her I thought to myself

"Am Pia" I replied in a shy tone.

"Nice Pia... What are you doing in the middle of the road like a lost puppy" She asked me I looked at her features. She had something on her face and it made her looked prettier, she looks like she is in her mid twenties and looked nice.

"Why did you help me" I asked. She smiled, "you look like you needed help" she says calmly.

i simply nodded slowly, staring at the road.

"I am lost" I said breaking the silence.

"where are you headed?" she asked not wanting to bother me with questions.

"Anywhere i can live a normal life" i said staring at my feet feeling disappointed at my self for not having someone to ask for help.

The ride was silent and we both simply stared at the road no questions or talks. The ride was like an hour and some minutes.

A part of my heart is really grateful for leaving that shit hole and a part of my heart is hoping where am going isn't another shit hole

We arrived in front of sirena home, her house is quite big and luxurious but huge for a lady to be living in alone. It is painted blue and they are other houses beside hers.

She seems to be the only one in this house, I opened my mouth to ask who lives in this kind of house alone but closed my mouth quickly because i thought it might be wrong, I followed her lead into the house , we walked into the house quietly.

"Do you take hot coco" she asked calmly, i hesitantly flashed her a smile "i don't mind" I said. she turned around. "sit" she said calmly

I sat on the couch quietly and i looked around the room is quiet spacious and calming. it full of paintings and pictures , I stared up and all the way to the stairs everything looked beautiful.

I kept looking until my eyes landed on a beautiful portrait of sirena and an average man which i guess is sirena brother or relative . They both looked stunning together in the portrait.

Sirena showed up with two cups of hot coco. "Here" she said and gave me a cup. I smiled and she sat next to me.

"You both look good together" I said staring at the portrait. "Thanks pia" she said with her expression changing.

I shouldn't have talked about the portrait I guess, I drank my hot coco slowly. "thanks for this , and helping me on the highway, I would have probably walked all the way, if you haven't showed up" I said staring at her.

She smiled at me "that is alright" she said also drinking her hot coco.

"why are you in the middle of the road" she asked . "I....." I said slowly. I don't know what to say , I feel disappointed to talk about how I ended up on the road.

"i don't want you to rush things so i will leave you in a room so you will have a hot bath and rest well then after that we can talk about you living a normal life" she said smiling at me .

Sirena showed me to a room. The room is spacious compared to the room I was sleeping in at the Hunter's place.

The room was beautified with a Queen sized bed. I smiled at her widely. "Thank you sirena" is all i could say she seems nice. I can't trust her yet.She might be another captor.

"When you have rest well then come down for dinner" Sirena said and shut the door.

I walked around the room. and dumped my body on the bed.

I walked to the bathroom, the bathroom seems empty except for the bathing tub. I stripped myself almost immediately and sat in the hot tub , enjoying the feeling of warm water on my skin making me feel warm and soft. I dozed off in the tube.
