He closed the curtain and sunk into his seat. Putting his hand on his head he sighed. Wait, my hats gone! Shuffling threw his bag, he found a small hand mirror. Looking into it, his hair was now a dark brown color. It seems his parents must of used some type of magic on him to make it look different. Now that he thought about it, he never really knew anything about his parents. " I don't even know how long this spells gonna last." Was the first thought he had in his head that wasn't really panicking or emotional. It was like his brain decided to switch off all the "unimportant" emotions people could feel and convey.
To an outsider, he looked as though he was devastated. Which he was, but after awhile, inside, he felt numb. The realization hit him when he realized his parents were most likely dead, but at the same time it didn't. "I don't even hold a single coin to my name, well besides the ones mom and dad left me, but that's not the point." As far as he knew, he didn't have a single living relative left. What would he do to Onryx? Where would he go? How was he going to live there? Were all the thoughts running threw his head. "I feel my parents would want me to live a good life. But how will I do that?" He thought out loud to himself.
Hearing a knock on the front of the cabin, he looked over. "Hey kid, I know your parents sent you away and stuff, but stop monologuing, its scaring the horses." Looking sheepishly, Luciel just muttered out a small okay. The coach driver just waved his hand in dismissal. "Oh by the way," he looked at his magical doo-dad that rested on his wrist, "we should be arriving at a town in a few hours." Luciel looked at the magical device on his wrist which he assumed was called a "watch". Some of the richer people in Silverkeep had them, but he never owned one himself. They were rather expensive as the items used to make it were hard to get.
Putting his previous thoughts away, he make-shifted himself a bed. As soon as his head hit the "pillow", he was fast asleep. Upon a few hours later, he heard muffled talking, and then the carriage door opening. Slightly opening one of his eyes, he saw two people enter. A boy that only looked a few years older than him enter. After him, a woman followed suit. They appeared to be siblings as they both had the same colored hair, eyes, and almost identical facial features. Though average in appearance, they both were wearing high quality clothes meaning they have some deep pockets.
His parents always told him that mingling with higher classed people wouldn't be a good idea so he just pretended he didn't notice them. On the other hand, the two siblings thought they were imagining when they saw a life-sized doll on one of the seats. That is, until they saw it shift and realized it was an actual person. To them, the boy looked even prettier than all the royalty combined. With those brown curly locks to his fair skin and droopy eyes, he looked like a perfect little angel.
Feeling uncomfortable with all the stares he was getting, he wouldn't be able to sleep again. Sighing, he sat back up and watched the two siblings stare at him as if he was a god or something. Not that he believed in gods or anything of the sort. Every time he had prayed to them, nothing ever happened and he started to realize they probably didn't exist.
Getting up, he picked up his things and walked out to go ask the coach driver if he could ride up with him when he felt someone grab his arm. "Wait! Uh, I mean.... you can stay here with us." Feeling the hand let go, he turned around and raised an eyebrow at the boy. "Why?" Luciel didn't know why the boy asked him to stay, oblivious to the fact that they were both staring at him like lovesick dogs. He didn't feel comfortable with these two, but he still stayed to hear what they would have to say.
None of the siblings answered for a moment when they heard his voice, to them he sounded so lovely that they felt like they could listen to him forever. This time, the girl chimed in, "The winds real bad, and uh, um.....Oh! Were suppose to be passing threw a heavy snowstorm later today." Of course, that was a lie but she didn't want such a pretty looking boy to leave as soon as he arrived.
Luciel just wanted to get away from them, but he hated wind so he supposed it wouldn't hurt. Sitting back down, he made himself comfortable. When the siblings saw him sit back down, they both breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't know why they wanted him to stay so bad, being a commoner and all that, but they didn't seem to even notice. They all chatted for a bit and he learned there names were Abigail and Fenris.
Curious, Luciel cautiously asked why they were going to Onryx, which then felt like it was one of the worse mistakes of his life. As if on que, they both started pouring out words like a waterfall. It was only a few hours later when they stopped, but to him it felt like a whole century passed. They then relayed his question to him. Blanking out for a moment to remember what they asked, all he said to them was "reasons." They didn't talk to him for the rest of the ride, but that sure didn't stop them from looking at him the whole time.
When he felt the carriage stop moving, he knew he was finally in Onryx. As soon as the coach driver opened the door, he took his stuff and bolted away. He didn't want the siblings to follow him, it felt rather nerve racking sense they never stopped looking at him even once. Pulling out his passport, he walked up to a guard that was standing at a huge gate. Looking at it, the guard nodded and opened the door for him. Without waiting, Luciel rushed in an walked as far as possible into the sea of people. The last thing he wanted was to find that the sibling where following him.
Once he was far enough, he took the time to digest all the buildings and people that were around him. The builds were similar to the ones in his hometown, but a bit bigger and fancier. There were many different kinds of people that he saw. He had started asking the most friendliest people he could find to ask for a good inn to stay in. The one he heard the most good reviews was a place called the Wolfs Den. According to them, it was around the north side of town near a statue of a dragon.
