The wind blowing fierce and strong waves were formed on the beach. James stood on the edge of the shore, just close enough for waves to hit his feet mildly and tickle his feet. James had taken a vacation in Florida and was enjoying its picturesque beauty. He came here to de-stress himself from his work pressure, which certainly is working. He came to Florida just then and left his bags in his car and ran to the beach and enjoy a little bit before checking- in to the hotel.
The hotel he booked was a pretty good one, according to pictures and ratings online. But was still unsure if the hotel will be as good as it looks. He checked into the hotel which was very close to the beach and was sure to provide a good view of the beach. As he parked his car in the parking area and came to the entrance, James looked up to see the building and from its architecture, was a good building. He checked-in and went up to his room with high expectations only to be crushed by the room. It was a small and compact room which had a cheap old rickety bed and a side table to its right with drawers and a lamp on it, which wasn't showing any signs of workability. And in front of the bed was T.V which was a small time one. The bathroom was right to the left of the bed. The only beautiful thing in the room was the orange lamp and fairly white walls.
James sat on the bed and realises that it's way too soft to sleep on. He personally hates the beds which are way too soft or hard as they make his back ache. He says to himself in a cheerful voice "Oh well! Guess I ought to make do with you" while tapping the bed and consoling his back.
James gets bored and visits the famous Florida Beach basketball court to play some hoop. James was a fan of basketball himself. After reaching he finds a player willing to play with him, but under a strange condition, the loser has to do what the winner says. James thought what worse can a stranger playing basketball give him to do and accepts the challenge. Eventually James wins and decides that the loser whose name is Steve was given the task that he will go to every court on the beach and play till he wins, he can only move to the next court if a match has been won in the current court. Steve does what James says and it takes him five whole hours to complete the task. Now they were friends, such good friends that both of them were going to bars and whiling their time away with small talk.
One such incident was when; they both were in a bar and started small talk.
"Say, when are you going back?" asked Steve with his blue eyes staring at his drink.
"I'll be going home tomorrow, why" asked James with a quizzical look on his face.
"No, it's just that I have a friend to visit in your hometown of Nebraska. And was hoping to bunk with you." Said Steve with a shy voice and looking away from James as if avoiding his eyes.
"Well then, you can come in my car and I'll drop you off at your friend's house."
With that both of them went to their rooms and decided to meet up tomorrow.
The next day, James was honking in front of Steve's hotel. After continuous honking, James was growing insanely frustrated. Just as he was about be exploding in anger, Steve was walking out with a beautiful woman. Wearing a red skirt. She was fair, had a round face with jet black eyes and a nose with the perfect width and curve to compliment her red lips and long hair. but her eyes made you care about nothing else.
James was awe-struck.
"James, this is my sister Janice."
"Hello, I am Janice" said Janice and extended her hand for a handshake
James was smiling shyly, "I am James"
"Yes Steve told a lot about you, the basketball match and all..."
"Well hop on then, we have a town to go to", said James, still blushing, his cheeks red. Together they started on a road-trip to Nebraska. Halfway through the trip, they stopped for lunch at a roadside motel. They sat down and just as James was about to order, a tall slender man with a black suit and blue tie walked past James' table and glared at James. He had a clown face and a blue nose stuck to him, his eyes were hollow and he smiled almost animatedly so much that the edges of his lips touched his eyes, and had viscous liquid dripping from his lips. The image of his face was scary, horrendous in fact.
"James, James. What happened?
