The next few days were uneventful, but incredibly frustrating days. Lana and I worked to hone and train my magic almost all day and with little progress. I tried my best, but I couldn't see to get the hang of a simple Shield Spell.
As well as this, there was a strange tension between me and Lana now that the "Silver Bond" had formed. And it was a weird tension too, it was a mix of anger, revulsion, and resentment, and a strange sort of sexual tension. I don't understand it, and I spoke to Professor Leon about it one night.
"Ah yes, I remember when Adonis and I first bonded, the tension and frustration was so high, because we were actually arch-enemies of a sort."
"Arch-enemies??" I said, confused.
"Yes, we were both very successful professors teaching at the same school, there was quite allot of tension between us, and when the bond formed we were practically tearing at each other's throats. But as time went on, we actually begun to spend time together outside of work and started getting to know each other. And, with a little nudge from the Bond, we fell for each other." Professor Leon said, looking up as the happy memories came to surface.
"So, like, this weird anger and sexual tension will fade with time?" I asked.
"The anger and resentment will," Leon said. "The sexual tension? I'm afraid that will get worse as time goes on." He winked at me and walked away without another word.
So, here I am, 3 days after waking up in this crazy world, struggling to learn magic.
"Okay," Lana said, as she stepped into the training room, today we're gonna try something different."
"Your defensive magic is poor, but getting better. But slowly, too slowly. So maybe we could test your offensive magic and see if maybe you excel in offense better than defense. And if you do, maybe learning offensive magic will assist in you learning of defensive magic."
"O-okay," I said. "How do we start?"
Lana held her hand in front of her and an orb of pure magic, glowed into existence under her palm.
"Elemental magic is difficult, and there are many principles and factors in it, but summoning and fighting with pure magic isn't extremely difficult," Lana said, the magic dancing between her fingers and under her palm. "Just concentrate and imagine the form you want the magic to take, but remember, don't think of an element. Think of an object."
I nodded and imagined the one weapon I found super badass and I actually had spent allot of time playing and experimenting with.
I literally summoned a small length of rope with the magic. Then I wrapped a small length around both of my hands until there was about a foot and a half of rope between my hands.
Lana raised an eyebrow before forming a pair of daggers, one in each hand.
"I'm going to attack you, and I'm not gonna hold back." Lana said, with a smirk. I knew all the resentment and anger that was built by the Bond was about to come out.
Lana crouched a little for a second, and I stood to the side, the rope was held against my body. Lana lunged at me with surprising speed, but I side stepped her and ducked down, bringing my hands up and wrapping the rope around her wrist and pulling it tight to cause pain and cut the circulation, and it did as I intended, and she dropped the dagger. (It disappeared before it hit the ground.)
I did a spin, bringing Lana with me and slung her to the ground.
I smirked. "It seems basic combat magic is my forte." I said smugly.
Lana got up, literally growling angrily and lunged at me again, this time, I met her head-on, dispelling the rope and grabbing each wrist, then I did a spin and slung her to the ground again. But she landed and rolled back to her feet, then she charged me again, but this time she ducked down at the last second, catching me off guard and causing me to slip and fall. She was on top of me in less than a second and her dagger was pressed against my throat.
Out faces were inches from each others as she straddled me, the dagger pressing into my skin. A snarl was on Lana's face, and her eyes had an unusual angry glow.
"Lana?" I said, startled by her aggression and anger.
She growled and pressed the dagger harder against my neck, actually drawing blood.
"You," she said. "Of all the very capable and compatible males living here, I had to bond with you! A no good, and weak human!" Angry tears were running down Lana's face.
I reached a hand up and put it on her cheek. She gasped, but didn't move. And she actually leaned into my touch just a little bit. The dagger disappeared and the second it did, we both instinctively leaned towards each other, but right before our lips connected we heard footsteps coming in the room.
Lana leaped off me and I jumped to my feet.
It was a dog guy. "Lana, the Professor asked to see you and the Human in his office."
Lana nodded, a blush on her face. We both hurried out of the room, but the dog guy's snorts could be heard behind us.
