We all silently went about setting up camp so the horses could get some sleep. Lana and I set up the tents, Luna found a good spot for the horses then unloaded our bedrolls, Drake gathered firewood so he could start a fire, and Elena was securing the perimeter with a few charms and spells that kept us hidden and would alert us if anything came onto out camp while we were sleeping.
Lana and I set up 3 tents, then looked for the others, but couldn't find any.
"Umm, where are the other tents??" Lana asked.
Drake rolled his eyes. "There's only three," he said. "One for Elena and Luna, one for me, and one for you and Jay."
I felt a violent blush cross my face, and I could tell from a wave of warmth coming from Lana's direction that she was blushing too.
"I-I um.." I stammered.
"We w-we erm..." Lana said.
"Yeah," Drake said. "We know about your Bond, your tent is soundproofed, and make sure to use the Birth control charm to prevent a pregnancy, we can't afford that kind of set back."
Lana and I blushed violently, but there was nothing for us to say, no excuse. But I promised myself I would try to have the self control to not allow Lana and I to do anything past kissing. But I don't know what to expect, the Bond is messing with our self control.
Camp preparation finished, and we all decided to skip the evening meal to conserve our rations. So, we sat by the fire and I told stories about my world. Or, really, the others asked me questions about my world and I answered.
"So there's really no magic??" Luna said in disbelief.
I shook my head. "No magic of any kind, and there were only humans, no animal people of any kind."
"I guess the technological advances that the people made in your world were made in a way that kinda compensated for your lack of magic." Drake said, looking up as he thought hard about it.
"Yeah, they were cool, but they weren't all that good. They polluted the environment, and because of such advances, population rose quickly, which forces us to build massive cities, causing animals to be pushed out of their homes and many animal species went extinct because of us. Global warming was high, overpopulation was high, and corruption and worldwide misery was high."
"Ah, the advances in medicine made it where people could live longer and were able to grow up, causing massive overpopulation. I see." Drake said.
"And with so many people, cities had to expand which pushed the wildlife out," Elena said. "Some of them went extinct..."
"Yeah, and I hate that my kind is doing that to the Earth, but there's nothing I can do about it," I said sadly. "Mankind is gonna wipe itself out, and all because of selfish businessmen and their pollution."
There was a moment of silence, then Lana yawned and said,"I'm gonna call it a night, good night everyone."
"Night." We all said. I watched Lana walk to our tent and disappear inside.
Me and the others continued talking for a little while, then we all decided to call it a night, and we all went to our respective tents.
I hesitantly stood at the entrance of me and Lana's tent. I didn't know what could happen once the flap closed and left us alone. I had my fingers crossed that Lana would be asleep, and I opened the flap, stepped inside, and closed the flap I looked at Lana, and she was stretched out under the blanket on her bedroll. She looked asleep, but for some reason, I could tell she wasn't. Probably the Bond.
I laid down on my bedroll and looked at Lana. I couldn't help but admire her beauty. Her long brown hair was silky and glossy. Her skin was so smooth and soft looking, and her lips looked as soft as they were.
I smiled and sighed in contentment, I laid on my side so I could fall asleep looking at her. Her hand was stretched out towards me and I reached out and held it. I felt her wave of surprise, but she didn't pull her hand away. Her hand was soft, and her beautiful feminine fingers wrapped around mine. A slight smile crossed her face and she scooted a little closer to me.
I closed my eyes and slowly feel asleep, Lana's hand held in mine.
