"Like I said before we need food mostly for you two. Now let's get going there's bound to be some food at least"
Walking into town there was a row of townhouses connected to each other. We went to the closest house door but it was locked.
"I need to lockpick the door."
"Can't we just break the door open?"
"I'll only take 2 minutes and I have a feeling that it would be much better being quieter."
Before starting to lockpick the door I could notice everybody kept very quiet.
We all knew that even if we couldn't see the danger it would be dangerous if we made any loud noises. It would become dangerous real quickly.
After 2 minutes of lockpicking the door the door finally opened. We entered into a small corridor.
Going further in Isra is the first to speak.
"It looks like the Architecture hasn't changed much over the years. It seems really spacious"
"It hasn't changed much since the Architecture advancement has reached its peak.
The inside of the house had a lot of rooms. Which was strange since the rowhouses are only connected by walls not door to door. We got into the kitchen and we spread out to find food even if there was a slim chance of finding any.
After a while of searching carefully around the kitchen I couldn't find a single thing. Searching the last cabinet behind me something had clattered and onto the ground. I turned around quickly thinking that a monster or a mutant had appeared in here somehow.
Turns out it was just Ava who was searching the cabinet and also a pot and some bowls fell right after. Ava managed to catch most of the bowl except one that fell right in front of her.
Isra who was closest to her checking the bottom cabinet managed to catch the last bowl. None of this didn't do much, seeing as the pot the first to fall was still clattering for 5 straight seconds. After 5 seconds of clattering we went silent.
"...Nothing happened." Ava says.
"Well that's good." Isra says back.
Everybody sighs in relief. We were too early to sigh in relief since right when we did something just bulldozed through the small corridor breaking everything in its path. The building was still standing as little pieces of the house crumbled down but there was a big hole.
"What the hell was that!?" Isra says shocked.
"We have to check it out," I said.
"I think we should be running away from it?!" Isra thought it would be better to get away then checking it out.
"What's there to be scared of. You've already faced some dangerous situations?"
"Well this time we can actually get the hell away from whatever was coming at us!"
"Too late for that." Ava says.
What appeared in front of us was a tall bulky fleshy mutant with its veins pulsating and some of the veins bursted out letting out lots of blood. Levin couldn't even detect it. We couldn't even see it's head since it was literally in the ceiling with its thin tall body above standing tall and It didn't seem to have any legs as everything else on its body was all touching the ground.
We all backed up carefully as it was slowly coming into the kitchen with its head breaking the ceiling as it came in. We backed away slowly so as to not even touch a little bit of it. While avoiding it all this time we all stayed silent as possible while staying away from it
Isra was at her limit as the blood that was dripping from it was under her feet. Isra was leaning back and was now sitting on top. Ava had already gone up on the little platform that wasn't touched by it's blood.
I was the only one that still had room for movement. All I could do was the same as them going on top of anything next to the wall. Isra on the small table, Ava on the cabinet that's barely holding her up and me right in the sink. Oddly enough I think I could fit half my body in the sink.
Enough about that, the cabinet that Ava was on was about to break. A gunshot in the distance was heard. The monster immediately turned around and I could hear it's whole body breaking when it turned as the bottom wasn't as fast.
It immediately moved quickly bulldozing through all the rows of townhouses. Staying silent for more than we could realize we let out a big breath of air. Ava was the first to go back down on the ground. Isa slowly got down the table while her legs were shaking in fear.
She drops right on the ground with her eyes very dark while I went back down with my pants drenched in water from the sink. I gave Isra time to calm down as Ava was comforting her surprisingly well. I took this time to recollect what just happened.
"That thing could go through the houses so easily. What in the hell is it?"
Thinking about the monster I asked Levin a question.
"Levin why didn't you detect the mutant?"
"The thing wasn't a mutant but a monster. I have no idea what kind of monster it is since I have no experience with monsters."
After Levin had answered me I went up to Isra.
"Are you okay now Isra?"
"Yeah I'm fine now. It's just that it's weird how I got so scared even though I faced so many mutants already."
Listening to what Isra said, the times when she was scared was only when it involved monsters.
"Isra? Do you have any memories of monsters before you met us?"
"Yeah I do. There were a bunch of them. One of them was a monster that very few people knew existed.I clearly remembered it since it was memorizing and I don't mean it in a good way I had to stay back since I was useless when facing it or any monster actually."
"Isra what we just faced wasn't a mutant, it was a monster."
