Waking up from the floor my eyes were shut tight from the cold.
"So cold."
Laying on the ground I tried opening my eyes, barely seeing anything in this dark place.
Pushing myself off of the ground my arm was in pain. I was only halfway up with my left arm supporting me. My body had no injuries, No broken bones, or blood seeping down my head. The only thing that was left was the pain.
"F*ck it hurts so much."
Looking around me I was halfway around the hospital counter. In the midst of enduring the pain, there were groans of mutants in the hallway. As the sound came closer so did the mutants. One of them was right next to me but it was facing up since it looked like his neck was broken.
It was about to bump into my shoulder so I tried to move. As I went back behind more mutants were coming and they weren't like the first one. Slowly going down on my knees I crawl behind the counter hiding.
"I really shouldn't have come here."
Being here already there was no choice but to keep going unless I wanted to face the Red mutant again and there was my goal of finding any blood bags.
"With how far technology has advanced blood bags should be able to last at least more than a year."
Looking just a little over the counter there was no mutant insight. Moving my arm and opening and closing my hand there was no pain whatsoever.
Cautious of any mutants seeing me, I got up slowly. Picking up my side bag and the rifle I saw some files of some of the rooms listed whether it was a storage room, patient rooms, or a blood storage room.
Looking through it, the blood storage room was on the second floor.
"Room C234."
Walking down the hallway to find the stairs there were mutants along the hallway. I quietly sneak towards the mutants taking out all the normal mutants by the head or slicing off their heads with my bayonet.
They didn't make a single sound since I caught them as they fell down slowly on the ground.
Looking into some of the rooms while killing the mutants I thought that I would find something in them that would interest me with one look into the room.
I finally found where the stairs were but there were loud sounds of rocks or pieces of a building falling off getting closer to me. The sound was coming from behind me. Turning around away from the other mutant, the same Red mutant was inside here.
It looked like it didn't notice me. Squinting my eyes and looking closely, both of its eyes were damaged. It must've smelled the blood of me going inside here. It wasn't an ordinary mutant so of course, it would find me somehow
There was only one choice and it was to just run for it, running through the hallway and ignoring the rest of the mutants. I didn't look back but it seemed like the Red mutant went the other way.
The only trouble left was the other mutants coming for me after ignoring them. Running I found the stairs. Grabbing the knob I tried opening the door but it was locked shut as I twisted and turned it.
The mutants were getting closer as I tried opening it.
"I wish I didn't have to do this. Well, I'll have to hope no blood will go on my clothes as I fight."
Confronting the mutants they got closer pointing my bayonet at the closest one. I could see now how many of them they were as they got closer. There were only about 5 of them which I could handle fine by myself.
The closest one already got 5 meters from me. I stabbed it right through the mouth. The second came after me from the right.
I swung my rifle, slicing through the mouth right towards the second mutant's neck making the head pop and go up.
Blood started to spew out of its opened neck and as it did the two bodies started to fall towards me. Taking some steps back just as the third one was trying to reach for my face, my bayonet was right under its head. Coming towards me I stabbed it right through its chin to whatever brain matter was left in its head. Backing up again, I was afraid of getting dirty.
While taking out my bayonet carefully the last two came at me at the same time. Stabbing the left mutant through its neck, and hitting the right one on the chin with the butt of the rifle, the mutant falls to the ground.
The mutant I stabbed through the neck was still alive. Using my full strength to slice through the cervical (Neck Bone) was the only way to kill it since I didn't have the wide range and speed to cut through easily.
The fourth mutant was now dead with the front of its neck still attached as it fell onto the ground. Changing the position of my hand on the rifle I stepped over its stomach.
I held the rifle above it, piercing right through its head.
With the rest of my strength, I took it out of the mutant's head. Not just the head but the ground.
Breathing heavily from the fight I had noticed that I never once sweated in any kind of situation.
Checking my body there was no dirt on me
"That's good."
I was breathing heavily so I put my back onto the wall, relaxing my breath while still holding onto my rifle.
