(A/N): did you guys really think I would drop this novel? I realised I had put too much effort into it and I think it would be better to drop this novel with a better ending. so I guess I'll probably just continue with this story till my laziness takes over completely.

Masha was currently walking through the village with a depressed look on her face. she had watched as Marv and Alyssa suddenly disappeared from her view. she was surprised at first but managed to force herself to try to get to them.
however, when she tried to follow them there was some type of barrier that just bounced her back. she tried materialising her swords and destroy the barrier but failed. she grew frustrated at the thought that Lady Alyssa might be in danger. not even bothering with her bleeding nose she forced her body to maximise her damage output. she ended up hurting herself as the force of her attacks rebounded back at her and sent her flying a bit.
with nothing more to do Masha simply knelt with her head hung low. she cried, she knew that when she left home she had brought unnecessary trouble to lady Alyssa. she wanted to apologise, she wanted to give her all for Lady Alyssa. but when needed she was useless.
she decided to head back to the village after ten minutes of crying. she hung her head low and returned to the house that Finn and the village doctor were talking in. Finn had some sort of dark expression on his face as the village doctor talked to him about something. when Masha entered the house both Finn and the village doctor focused their attention and her. when they saw Masha's damp mood, Finn asked what had happened and Masha described to him what happened.
when they heard Masha's story the village doctor looked away while Finn was having an even darker expression. after a while, Finn asked Masha of the direction they went. when Masha heard Finn ask of the location she was slightly disturbed but told him nonetheless. when Finn was told of the location he stood up from his chair and simply looked at the village doctor who was staring at the opposite wall.
"I hope you realize what you've done...pray I don't come back alive."
Finn spoke these words with a hint of anger. the village doctor simply shrunk himself and tried to not look Finn directly in the eyes. after that Finn said he would go to see if there was anything he could do. Masha wasn't really confident that he could do anything but she wasn't one who would underestimate someone just because they seemed weaker than her. she nodded slightly and Finn left the house.
Masha was not comfortable staying in the house and left immediately after Finn to walk around the village. she had seen several villagers both young and old who were walking around the village. once they saw Masha they stopped their talking and simply looked away from her. Masha was not too disturbed by this but was curious. as she walked through the village she felt her legs shift slightly. she looked down to see a little girl who was clutching to her legs and looked up at her with tears.
"Please...leave this place...you must leave..."
the little girl had black hair tied into short twin tails. she had blue eyes as tears formed in her eyes. Masha was still sad herself and was caught off guard by the little girl. Masha simply pats the little girl's head while smiling and saying...
"don't worry...I can take care of myself..."
not something heroic but just something Masha said to try to convince herself that not all was lost. she lived perfectly fine before Lady Alyssa showed up so who was to say she couldn't do the same again. the little girl was still looking up at Masha with tears in her eyes.
that was when a large stone flew through the air heading straight for Masha. Masha was still sad but she materialised her broadsword and cut the stone. it wasn't really a clean cut so when she cut the stone it broke into smaller stone fragments and dust spread.
Masha then heard the voice of a child speak.
"get lost, you witch! we don't need you in this village!"
the child who was clinging to Masha's leg coughed a bit as she inhaled some dust. the dust settled and Masha could see a group of children who were staring at her with deep hatred in their eyes. the leading child who was holding another stone in her hands was about the age of around 7. Masha narrowed her eyes slightly as she saw that not only was the child staring at her but at the little girl at the same time.
"hey! Brianna...you should die!"
this time a male child threw a stone straight at the little girl with all the strength he could muster. Masha was now irritated as she simply cut the stone into two. she stared at the child who had thrown the stone with anger in her voice.
"ok child...I'm in an extremely bad mood now...you better tell me what's going on or I will kill you."
when Masha spoke these words she was slightly disturbed by how quickly this escalated. the children were scared and decided to run but when they turned around and ran the boy who had thrown a stone at the little girl felt something heavy press on his shoulder.
he turned to see Masha who had a dark expression on her face and was gripping his shoulder tightly.
"I thought I told you...explain what the hell is going on."
the boy was now really scared and he stammered a bit as he explained to Masha.
"she...she is the child of that Ice devil that's been bullying our village!"
