Chapter 5 - Enki and Class 8

There was a man with one eye missing who led us into the building. Two other kids had also made it into class 8.

"You," He pointed at me. "clean the bathrooms. you can leave when you are finished."

"You," He pointed at a very tiny girl. "You already know. Kitchen."

"And you." He pointed to the only other person in here. "Take the water out to the kids."

After his commands he left.

I stared at the bathroom door for a few minutes before entering. Of course I had no supplies in my hand because I wasn't actually going to clean it.

Why couldn't I be out there with my new friends.

I just want a moment of socialization but i'm here again. . . Alone. Mostly cold metal and cold floors surrounded me.

I just wanted. . . comfort.

I felt something inside of me grow. It wasn't a feeling that I was used to.

A lump formed in my throat and my eyes began to water. What is this feeling. . .

When ever I experienced an emotion that made me feel bad, I had to tell Sasha right away. I needed to tell Sasha so she could help me feel better.

So, without even cleaning up the already perfectly clean bathrooms, I run towards home.

I pass the shops with the nice crystals, which confirm that i'm almost home.

The tall building with over 15 floors come into view, manager Kim right outside of the door.

She calls after me but I run passed her and right into Sasha's office.

The only person crazy enough to burst into Sasha's office is me, so knowing that it's me coming in Sasha looks up.

Away from whatever important work she has.

"Enki, why are you crying?"

I tried to speak but I couldn't. Instead, I ran into her and wrapped my arms around her, crying even harder.

"Why can't I have any friends." I managed to say.

I didn't want to go to D.C. Academy anymore. I wanted to tell her that but I didn't have enough words in me to make a full sentence.

"Enki," Sasha began. She hugged me back before finishing her sentence. "We have to talk in a few hours after you've rested okay. So you can speak without crying."

I understood.

And so I went to my room, Ze9, got on my bed and went to sleep.

Sasha watched Enki leave the room. Just as Enki left, Sir Knox came in with a concerned look on his face.

"Why is he back already?" He asked.

"Well it worked." Sasha smiled a little. "He doesn't want to go back to school, but it seems he still wants to be social."

Knox nodded, both contemplating and acknowledging what Sahasrara had just told him.

"It's crazy to think that he is growing up a very immature child. You'd think he wouldn't really feel a connection to kids his age." Sir Knox said.

Sasha looked down, feeling a tiny bit of guilt. "I don't know. Maybe we aren't doing this right. . . He should just be able to be a normal child. He's given us no reason to suspect he is a danger to others."

"With all due respect," Knox started, tilting his head slightly to his left. "Him being a seedling is reason enough to suspect that he should be contained. There was only one other seedling ever, and we've only just managed to revert him back to the development phase. And now, we don't even know where he is. We have to take precautions with Enki knowing how Enlil turned out."

Sasha nodded slowly. "Right. I must have been getting soft these days since the action has died down."

Sasha made her way to her desk. She sat down on her chair that spun, then glanced at Knox.

"So, what did you come in here for." Sasha asked, looking down to see Knox's hands glowing white.

"Right." Knox said.

Knox waved his hand then swiped the air in front of him, turning the room into a deep jungle with a well developed town placed awkwardly in the center. This town was extremely large. The door handles of any building in sight was nearly in the clouds.

It was the town of giants. They had to be separated from the rest of the world so they could live comfortably and not have to worry about stepping on others.

It seems this time Knox was finally able to do a two person teleportation without the use of the tools he built. The precision it takes to teleport only yourself and another person was admirable. It was also very energy-consuming, so it must have been urgent for Knox to have used teleportation instead of his usual partial spirit shifts.

"Anja's town, huh?" Sasha question, extremely confused on why she'd have to leave her town unsupervised.

Sasha and Knox wandered around the unfamiliar town, looking for Anja. It didn't take long to spot the very tall and gorgeous giant goddess, Anja. Anja's eyes were all white with no detail in them at all. She had a pink jewel embedded into the middle of her forehead with gold embroidery along its edges. You could see the rest of the universe just in her pink jewel.

Her skin that was close to being completely black had white cloths and sheets wrapped around it. Anja couldn't speak to someone Sasha's size, so she sent her telepathic messages and they communicated through their thoughts.

"She cant' hear us from way down here can she?" Knox asked.

"That's right. She doesn't speak either." Sasha replied. "But we can communicate."

In fact, they were already communicating. Anja's grieving was felt strongly by Sasha.

Anja let Sasha know that the Sumerians were finally cutting ties with this dimension, saying that their kids were old enough to take care of this one.

Both Anja and Sasha could speak to Dimensional beings, but only Anja choosed to develop her ability, since her dimensional senses were much sharper.

Anja's crystal brightened and her head tilted. She was sitting criss-crossed so it was easier for Knox and Sasha to see her.

"What is she saying?" Knox asked.

"She's nervous for our parents to be leaving, that's all. They entrust their children to this world. We have no more supervision from them. No more having them keep the peace for us."

Knox turned his head towards Sasha. "You guys are sisters?"

"Yep, Anja's the youngest. Now that she's finally of age our parents are moving on to go build a place for themselves." Sasha answered.

"Oh. . . I can't believe she's your sister! She's like, twenty feet taller than you."

"That she is."
