Arriving at home he finally felt more comfortable.
Kayua was at the end of the line when entering out the door. as soon as he took a few steps into the house, he felt a sudden danger sign, his spider-sense was working at full speed.
Unconsciously, he dodged to the side and at that very moment, a fist flew past where was his face.
"Tsk." Karina was disappointed with the failure of her surprise attack.
Soon after, she ran off and threw herself on the sofa.
Kayua froze in that dodge position. He didn't think she was serious when threatened him, now he was afraid to sleep and be hit. Who knew that having a baby sis would be so dangerous?
He looked to his mother for help.
Marta just shrugged.
"I can't do anything ~," She said in reply.
But Kayua can feel the joy for his misfortune in her voice.
And Marta was really happy. She wasn't adept at the traditional "beat to discipline", but this time she was really angry by her son's stupidity. So seeing him in this tiny complicated situation pleased her a lot.
***
It was already 7 pm so Marta was running to prepare dinner.
His sister was lying on the couch switching the TV channels and ignoring him entirely, but Kayua could feel that she was keeping him under extreme watch, ready to attack at any moment of carelessness.
He wanted to play with her, but that feeling of bitterness was weighing more and more on his chest.
He knew that wasn't his guilt, but the sadness was still there.
Despite not being an incredibly virtuoso musician, he always liked to play and sing to vent his emotions. Whether they are happiness or sadness.
So Kayua decided that he would play a little bit of the music that he always listened to when missed his father.
He starts walking towards his room.
"Where are you going?" asked his mother. Even though she had already received an explanation for yesterday's situation, she still felt nervous about leaving him alone without supervision.
It was a little exaggerated, but understandable, due to the recent events.
His sister also got up from the couch, ready to grab him.
"I'm going to play guitar a little," he said lightly as he closed the bedroom door without waiting for an answer.
As soon as the two heard this answer, they froze.
They seemed to have petrified in their places.
The two stared at the door in amazement, doubting their ears.
They mechanically turned their heads and faced each other.
"Did he say he was going to play guitar?" asked Karina in obvious doubt.
"I guess so?" Marta replied with uncertainty.
This day was being a real emotional roller coaster for both of them.

As soon as he entered the room, Kayua was not distracted by anything and just looked around to find what he wanted.
He soon saw an old dusty guitar hard case leaning against the wall in one of the room's corners.
Picked up a dirty shirt on the floor, he started to clean off all the dust that had accumulated on the guitar case.
"It seems that in this world I still haven't gotten over your departure father" He whispered as he looks with missing at the old guitar case.
He opened the case and look at the guitar inside.
It was a mahogany Takamine GD 11 MCE, this was the last guitar that his old man had bought before he suffered a traffic accident and died in 2016.
Kayua still remembers that for years he was unable to accept his father's sudden death and refused to play any instrument. He thought that staying away from everything that reminds his father could help him forget and move on.
Only later did he realize how childish he was and stopped trying to get away from his old man's memories.
He took the guitar out of the case and ran his fingers lightly over the strings.
"It's good that the strings were cleaned with oil before this guitar was stored, otherwise the rust would be so strong that I would catch tetanus just by touching it."
He began to tune the guitar strings, praying that none of them would break during the process, after all, they were already quite old. Luckily it didn't happen.
He sat on the bed, closed his eyes, and tried to remember his own lyrics version of the song he used to play.
Soon, he started strumming.

On the other side of the door.
A pair of mother and daughter had their ears against the door, waiting to confirm their doubts.
"Is he really going to play guitar?" asked Karina whispering to her mother.
"I don't know, maybe he just gave an excuse to go to his room."
Karina nodded until she thought something.
"Maybe he wants to play something else, get it?" she said with a mischievous laugh as she moved her hand up and down.
Marta didn't understand at first, but soon her face turned red, not from shame but anger. She punched her daughter in the head.
"Where did you learn that kind of improper thing, girl?" she scolded her daughter while still keeping her voice low.
"AH!" Karina let out a tiny cry of pain. "The internet is a great teacher these days." She replied with a sulky face.
Marta was ready to give a lecture, but Karina quickly deviated from the subject.
"Sssh! He started playing. "

In the bedroom, totally unaware of the small dispute between his mother and sister, Kayua was immersed in the music.
After the short introduction, he started to sing with his baritone voice and little hoarse timbre.
"Today was okay, just a little tiresome
Hard day at work that ended me up
I'm here with my feet up ready to sleep
Missing you is a frequent visit
Like that annoying neighbor that liked to irritated us
Ah, I miss us "
"Apart from that
The rest of the thing I'm doing fine
Mother is healthy and Karina is only cause trouble
What was missing from the car debt I've already paid the all"
"Ah! By the way
I finished the book you asked me to read
And only on page 70, I understood you
In that part where it says that
'Love is a fire that burns without being seen' "
***
On the other side of the door, the two women don't say a word.
At first, they were just surprised that he decided to play guitar, but now a different feeling was invading their hearts.
They couldn't stop the tears from running down their faces.
"My little boy, how much have you kept in your hear?" whispered Marta to himself.
The two continued to listen.
***
In the bedroom, the music continues to sound.
"How is it there?
I haven't heard from you in a while
Speak a little your voice is so quiet
I know that you must be now impressing the angels with your laugh "
"But I haven't heard anything from you in a while
Speak a little your voice is so quiet
Up there speak louder cause I need to hear
How is it there? "
"I know that you must be now impressing the angels with your laugh "
"Speak louder from up there that I need to hear
How is it there?~"
As soon as the song ended, the tears he was holding in order not to disturb the performance started to flow.
He was about to play some more, but the door suddenly opened and he was attacked by the two eavesdroppers.
"My baby!"
"big brother!"
These two hugged him while crying loudly.
Kayua opened his mouth to explain and say to calm down, but as soon as he tried to say something, the only thing that came out was a crying noise.
He tried to contain his tears, but he couldn't.
The family of 3 just stood there, holding each other, and crying all the tears they had.
