Chapter 45 - The Money Tree

Long ago, there lived a farmer. Caring for his crops, the farmer coaxed fruit and grain from the stubborn plants, caring for them as if they were his children. The farmer had two actual children, both of whom grew up aspiring to be more than just farmers. But when they came of age, they requested to travel to a far-off university to become well-educated. The farmer, though wishing to help his children achieve their dreams, was unable to do so. Farming is not a well-paying occupation. Dejected one day, the farmer walked into his orchard. Moping around, the farmer eventually began to talk out loud, cursing his position. The trees, who had been diligently cared for by the farmer, decided to repay the favor. The next day, the farmer was greeted by bags of money that had grown on the trees. Delighted, the farmer took the money and gave it to his children so they could be better educated. Ever since then, the trees have grown mock coins on their branches to celebrate their gift. We call them money trees.
