RICHARD'S POV
'I'm extremely disappointed in you.' my mother said. 'Why are you refusing your calling, my son? Stop refusing him, accept him so you can become stronger.'
'Firstly, don't call me your son because it always reminds me of how you only wanted me for power.' I hissed at her, trying to ignore the pain I was feeling inside. 'You had me over to him like I was nothing more than a slave. He used me when I was only six. I have no memory of that incident at all, but despite that, I was still treated like an outcast among my own people.'
'Richard.....'
'You ought to be my mother, but you never loved me. If there was ever a tiny part of you that cared about me, you would've never handled me over to him.' My voice broke on the last words.
