"Annabelle I said no and there's no debate about this matter." my grandfather said.
"Listen grandpa this might be a way to destroy The Aries for good." I sighed. "Just let me join them."
"No! I won't sacrifice my only granddaughter." my grandfather yelled.
"Then how long will our people be sacrificed, how many families will lose their loved one's grandpa?" I asked. "How many children will be made orphans because of those monsters?"
"Annabelle, we have enough soldiers to take them down," he reassured me. "A princess doesn't fight battles."
"Then let me be the first." I challenged. "Let me change the way things are done."
"Annabelle, you are a princess," he repeated.
"I know that."
"If you do, then why bother trying to learn how to fight?" he asked.
"Grandpa, I need to learn how to defend myself," I said. "I can't be depending on you or some soldiers to protect me when I go out."
My grandfather raised a brow. "If you ever go out, there will be enough soldiers to accompany you."
"Grandpa, I want to defend myself and my people. I hope to be the princess who can defend her kingdom, not the one who hides behind her soldiers like a baby."
"It's not your job darling." he sighed.
"So what? If I want to do this, then why stop me?" I inquired.
"I don't want to lose my granddaughter, Annabelle," he said in a low voice. "There is no way I will live if you die, you were my only will to live my dear."
"Grandpa I get your fear but don't bother about it because I know my parents are always watching over me." I smiled at him. "Please don't see this as a granddaughter asking her grandfather for something but I want you to picture this as a princess asking her king for something."
My grandfather sighed. "No means no."
"You are thinking like a grandfather, but that's not what I want you to think like," I said. "Think like a king."
"Annabelle, I'm thinking like a king and this king won't let the princess do such a thing," he said.
"Please, let me fight," I begged. "Please don't refuse me."
Silence clouded the room. My grandfather's eyes were so heavy. He looked so confused but I pray he will accept.
"Grandpa," I called out. "Please."
"If I should say no, you will still plead with me," he said. "You are extremely stubborn."
"I know that, so what's The King's verdict?" I asked.
"I will agree on two conditions," he stated. "First, I want you to stop training if it gets too tough for you and also the only person who can train you is Richard."
"Richard?" I muttered. A flashback of the kiss popped into my mind, the way Richard's voice turned cold before I left. What if he doesn't agree to train me?
"Yes, Richard, so tell me if you accept my condition?" he asked.
"Yes, I do," I replied. "Thank you for accepting the request."
"No problem, dear. Now I will talk to Richard about all this," he said with an enormous smile. "You make me so proud Annabelle and I'm sure you will make our kingdom proud."
"If you believe I can then I hope so my king." I flashed a smile before curtsying to him. "Goodbye, grandpa."
"Take care," he said. "You have a lot of work ahead, my dear, and I pray that your choice doesn't bring you unbearable pain."
I nodded my head to show I agree before leaving the room so my grandpa can get his privacy back.

"Your majesty." Josh bowed immediately he sighted me. The stable looked tidy, unlike the other ones I've been to when I was still living with humans.
"Josh, how are you?" I asked.
"I'm good, but may I know what brings you here?" he inquired.
"I came to check on my baby." I laughed. "Did she miss me?"
"Cloud is fine and yes she misses you." he smiled.
"How can you tell?" I asked. "Are you got telling me what I want to hear?"
"Of not, princess," he said. "Cloud is always happy when I talk about you next to her."
"Can I see her?" I asked.
"Of course, she is your pegasus," he said.
"Yay!" I laughed before following Josh into the stable. There were a lot of pretty pegasuses but deep down I knew my Cloud was the best. My grandfather allowed me to keep her mine recently so which means I have two ways to fly through my kingdom.
"Here she is," Josh announced.
They kept my baby in a nice stall; she was lying down on the bunch of hay, her eyes were closed, making it look like she was asleep.
"Cloud," I muttered into her ears, which caused her to open up those beautiful eyes. My baby raised up her head immediately she realized it was me after that I got a big nuzzle from her.
"How are you?" I asked before rubbing her mane. She neighed before nuzzling me again.
"See, she missed you." Josh smiled.
"I missed her too," I said. "Can I take her for a ride?"
"Of course." Josh shrugged.
"If you see the king, Victoria, or even Richard, tell them I want for a ride with Cloud," I instructed.
"Sure, your majesty." Josh bowed. "Should I assist you in bringing her out of her stall?"
"Yes, please." I laughed.
Josh helped me to bring Cloud out of her stall. He brought her out of the stallion and helped Cloud stretch her wings.
"She is ready to go," Josh said.
"Thank you, Josh." I smiled before mounting Cloud. "Please leave my message if you see any of them."
"Of course princess." Josh bowed to me. "Please take care."
"I will," I said.
Cloud neighed before taking to the sky in grand style. The way her wings moved under the speed of the wind was amazing. We flew into so many clouds and I touched a few of them. Tingles flew through my veins as I touched them.
"I love this feeling," I exclaimed.
A beautiful sunset was on the horizon, the colour of the sky was changing quickly, so was my mood. I have to embark on this journey. This is a mission that will make my people free.
'A mission that must be accomplished.'
