I took deep breaths to reassure myself.
"Jasper he killed them because some stupid obsession he had over her,that night it was me and my dad that were meant to go to the movies but I was grounded so I couldn't go instead my mom and dad went and died because he cut the fucking brakes,he thought that if we died he would have my mom to himself that's why he hated me cause I should have been in here place and he hated me because I lived and she didn't that's why I abused,deprived,malnourished,tortured and he attempted to rape me,not once not twice but severally I felt dirty,pathetic and weak,I just....just."I was unable to finish cause I broke down in tears.
Jasper came and rubbed his soft fur against my neck I raised my hand to pet him but I ended up pulling him into a hug,I cried and soaked his fur,I looked up to see him looking past me into open space,his eyes were filled with anger,hate and disgust but when he looked at me the hatred,anger and disgust in his eyes left his eyes were filled with sadness and pain not pity which I was surprised by now normally I got gasps and pity or strange stares but he didn't he was just there for me.
After the cry and open up therapy session we had I felt a lot better still miserable but better,I got up got ready,since we were training I decided to put on my work attire it was easier to move than me Jeans and waited for Quinn to come get me.
I got bored and took my sketchpad and looked out the window for inspiration I looked around and saw different knights training,I looked at their amour and imagined myself in it,I sat there and drew a picture of myself in it not gonna lie I liked it.
Eventually their training ended and the knights were returning to the castle probably returning to their duty post and was stuck bored and hungry,I searched my bag but found nothing to eat I waited for what seemed like forever then I heard a faint knock gaining both of our attention,I walked to the door when another knock came.
"Who is it?"I asked from behind the door.
"Valentine,Lady Cora."She said meekly.
"Oh,come in."I said opening the door.
"And what did I say about the title thing."I said teasingly.
"Oh sorry Cora."She said bowing her head low.
I used two fingers and lifted up her face to mine with a smile on my face.
"Don't bow to me,we are equals,we are both humans,both born from a woman,both woman and we both have a right to our self respect and dignity so don't worry about it,treat me the way you'd treat your friend."I said removing my fingers
She smiled genuinely for the first time her smile reaching her eyes.
"Thank you la...Cora."She said.
"Anytime,so what did you want to tell me?"I asked her.
"Oh yes I have been told to take you to the kitchen,the prince had told us to let you look after yourself."She said in a rush.
"Oh yeah okay,let me change first,wanna help choose my outfit?"I asked her.
"It would be my honor."She said following me into the closet.
"How about this one?"She asked pointing at a simple dress.
"I saw a beast tamer wearing something similar."She continued.
I put on the dress and the we left for the kitchen silently talking me doing most of the talking sat and ate,we waited for a while before I had gone back to the room and Valentine returned to her chores.
As soon as I walked into the room I was bombarded with Jasper's question while he dozed off.
"Cora where were you? How could leave without letting me know? Why aren't you answering me? Is something wrong? I swear I'll...."I interrupted him from his river of question rushing at me.
"Oh for the love of,Jasper how do you expect me to answer when you keep talking like a burst pipe,I'm fine I went to the kitchen with Valentine to cook I left without telling you cause you were asleep and nothing is wrong okay stop being a vacuous dullard,yeash."I said yelling glaring at him while he was taken aback.
"Has some anyone ever told you're scary when you're angry and also something tell me vacuous dullard is an insult but what you don't know can't hurt you."Jasper said being to full that he is.
"Nope."I said trying to calm down.
"Well they should have,how are you feeling now?"He said finishing with a soft-tone.
"To honest,I feel miserable,I just wanna crawling into bed and never come out but I know that won't change anything I know I have to get out there and live life if not I'll never get over it and I wanna be happy I wanna live a normal life I wanna met a guy without fearing that he'd turn out like my uncle I wanna sleep and met dreams not nightmares,I wanna have kids be happy you know but I'm scared,I don't know what to do anymore but I'll fight,fight for my happiness cause I deserve it and I'm not giving it up atleast not without a fight."I say to him my voice changing from shaky to determined.
"Cora,you'll find happiness I just know it,now please tell me you brought back something for me?"Jasper said obviously hungry.
'I'll mess with him a bit first,mwaahaha.'
"Shit I forgot about your breakfast."I said facepalming myself.
"How could forget about me,now I'm going to die I can already feel my stomach digesting itself."He said falling over.
'Drama queen.'
"You should see the look on your face its priceless."I said laughing uncontrollably putting down his food.
"Wait,that's not funny."He said to me grumbling.
"Yes it was."I said still laughing.
"Whatever."He said and devoured the food.
"Dang you were hungry."I said surprised he could stuff his mouth that fast.
"Told ya."He said licking his paws.
I laughed it off,continued talking till Quinn came to get me.
