Baby Sunshine was splashing in the pool, enjoying the hot weather that had been lingering for days. Steve Goris sat by the poolside with his sister, having just gotten out of the pool. He felt refreshed after his swim.
"Uncle, come back in!" Baby Sunshine, being her usual attention-seeking self, looked at her uncle with wonder, questioning why he had left her alone in the pool.
Steve reached out to lift Baby Sunshine out of the pool, but she suddenly squirmed out of his hands and fell sideways into the water. In the split second it took Steve to dive into the pool, the splash startled everyone sitting by the pool, bringing them to the harsh reality that Baby Sunshine, despite being a good swimmer with floaters on her arms, had just fallen into the pool.
Katie Goris stood anxiously by the poolside as her brother lifted her daughter out of the water. Baby Sunshine was quickly laid down on a lounge bed, coughing and spitting out water.
