Chapter 6 - Random Chapter VI

Oneliner: "Keep smiling through the void!"

Genre: Sci-Fi

In the 30XX, the world has made contact with aliens, making beneficial bonds. Because of that, the world's technologies made a huge boom. They invented plasma guns, flying cars, or hoverboards, and many more things that were considered impossible.

However, for Alexander, the most exceptional accomplishment the world had to offer was the reality and the game world merging completely. It enabled humans to enhance their bodies as much as they'd like. At one point in time, it was impossible to tell if he was in a game or real life. Well, if one would exclude the fictional like Link, Donkey Kong, or Mister Monopoly or various other games running around.

Alex was right now on his way to his friend. "Hehe, I love it, being able to fly, teleport, or even use magic. I think I'm in my very own heaven." He was zooming around corners at a breathtaking speed, jumping around like a bunny, or even parkouring. As he reached the part of the city where Xander lived, he slowed down to an average pace.

He was fooling around again as he walked around the final corner, he pumped into a small and fragile-looking, girl with red twin-tails. The girl was wearing jet black jeans, a hoodie with cat ears, and crimson sneakers. They both were about to fall as the girl pushed herself she created an air current, pushing herself out of his way. Before even landing, she kicked the air, spinning around and landed on Alex's back, pinning him down effectively.

"Sandra? Are all aliens this mean?" Sandra quietly snickered: "Hey, that's all your fault. You never watch where you're going, Idiot!" Much to Alex dismay, Xander's black boots were now in front of him. Looking up, Alex saw the white trenchcoat Xander always loves wearing. Beneath the trenchcoat was a purple shirt with the words 'You chose, you Lose.'

He was laughing at Alex's misfortune. "Hey buddy, you need a hand?" Still pinned to the ground, said person, started complaining: "Yeah, I don't believe you even one-second Sandraaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!"

Sandra pinched him: "Don't you dare! I can keep smiling through the void solely because you are so fun to tease! And Xander is just a jerkface!" The void! A room where neither time nor space exists, only a few chosen Aliens were able to enter, and even to see the future.

"Better a jerkface than a barbarian!" Xander fought back. Sandra gently and calmly reached down to Alex's ear to deactivate a small headset like device the 'Future Asset' shutting down access to his game world access. She smiled, scaringly bright: "Barbarian, you say?" She raised her fist, cracking them "I can show you barbarian."

Alex finally was standing again "Uh, Sandra? You can have all the fun you want nevertheless you might wanna go easy on him. We still need him today!"

"Haha, he'll be fine. As a fellow alien, he has an annoyingly high regenerative power. He'll be ready before the festivals are gonna start." Xander was visibly anxious, slowly backing up "Uuh, shouldn't you try to stop her, Alex?" Alex started to fake like he's giving it a thought "Hmm... Nah, I think I'll pass."

With those words, Xander started running like his life depended on it. Yet he never got far as Sandra swiped and gave him a good beating. Meanwhile, Alex received a call on his 'Future Asset'. On the other end was distorted voice: "Alexander Graham. What if everything you take for granted, you cherish just vanishes? Beware the alien 'Cyborg'! Before, it's your time to keep smiling through the 'void'!" As sudden as the voice called, it just ended the call leaving a confused Alex. "...the hell?"
