Skye explained to Maevis how she could now identify specific minerals within her Water magic as she poured the tipsy fairy some. When she'd used it earlier to make the hot spring, it had activated similarly to her Shaman power. She hadn't even realized she'd done it until later; just like with Celestia.
This unnerved Maevis greatly. She and Nicolas had discussed possibilities earlier, right before the men had returned. One specific legend came to mind, but Maevis wanted to do more research, like Nicolas, before she would acknowledge it as a possibility.
