A month ago, a girl named Gilda Cara fell from a two-story building. Most people suspect that she tried to commit suicide but, she pleads to police that she wasn't.
I believe her. She only broke the entirety of her right leg but, other than that, there were no other injures.
People don't believe her because, she says that she was walking through the office on the second floor of the building, and her boss called her into their office. She turned the handle of the office door and started falling through it, breaking her leg when she hit pavement.

"Yo Magse, you don't believe what is on the news, do you?"
My face seemed to be glued to my phone.
He can't know that I am actually reading the news story at this moment.
I put my phone away before he can read what is on my sceen.
"No, of course not."
"You look like you are hiding something.."
He was right. I was hiding something. I was hiding my phone from him, I was hiding my belief, and I lied just to save myself from humiliation.
I felt my skin lost it's color as he starred at me intensely.
"I'm not!"
"Then why is your skin pale?"
Crap.
"You know, we can go right now!"
I felt my cheeks got hot. I was embaressed, but I had to seem angry.
"Listen Magse, I don't think you can take me down, i'm so much stronger than you."
He chuckles at that moment, as if it was hilarious. As if, he is a millionaire and I am his slave.
Yeah right..as if I will bow down to him.
"My strength doesn't matter in combat."
"We shouldn't. We are on stairs Magse!"
I had forgotten.
I gotten so caught up in my own emotions, that I didn't notice.
The pavement stairs that led into the Earth, were filled with green, slippery, Algae.
If you were quiet, you could hear water dripping from pipes. This place looked like a sewer, but it didn't smell like one. It was cleaner than you would expect.
I sighed.
"You're right...explain why we are here again?"
I said this like it was a question.
I was curious.
The argument caught me off guard.
I wasn't prepared...at all.
He stared at me as if I had not listened to a word he said and that I had completely disregarded his words. He was now stern. You could hear anger in every syllable.
There was no pause for his response.
"We are here because there is a secret door down at the bottom of this stairwell, under the News building. I have never seen what is behind it, so I wanted to bring you with me, Mag. For weeks, I tried to open it."
I groaned. I hated when he called me that.
I muttered, "don't call me a maggot," but he didn't seem to notice or care.
We continued down the odd stairwell.
There was then a faint sound above.
"Shit. She saw us."
He looked terrified. His eyes became more of their natural color.
"Dude, don't curse."
He immediately started up the stairs. Part of him was shaking.
"Jeremy! Aren't we seeing what is in that door?"
He looked down at me from the top of the stairs. There was terror in his breath, his face, his chest, and his words.
"I don't think I want to anymore."
