When I heard that name, I didn't know how to react to it, I was feeling so many emotions: shock, anger, sadness, empty, like I was going to throw up
I fell down to my knees with my mouth covered with both of my hands
"Are you sure it's her, I thought they were destroyed when the elements of harmony brought me back?" I asked in terror, hoping this was some kind of sick joke
"I'm sorry, but it's the truth, we found out earlier, one of twilights friends is keeping nightmare moon busy while we prepare, I don't know how long until she succumbs to nightmare moons dark magic" tia said with a sad look
"I hope we can all see the end of this" I said seeing that she is t telling me everything, but I shouldn't pry there are more pressing matters to attend to
Just one more thing, I'm thinking of doing a sequel prequel to tell about the past about how this all began, like "fantastic beast and where to find them" something like that, but after I finish this story
Jordan POV
'Ok, ok, what to do now, I'm trap in a cave cornered by some unknown nightmare creature, and I have about a minute of consciousness left, and my options are to make an exit or dive head first into the nightmare' I thought to myself as I look behind a corner of the cave I'm hiding in to see if the nightmare found me or not 'and I have to say neither of those are great
"Ohh, little one come out and play, I'm so growing very tired of playing with you so why don't you do both of us a favor and come out so we can kill you" nightmare moon said with a growing demonic stature and voice
'I can't pin point where she is, the ceilings of the cave is making very echoey and making very hard to know where they are' I thought to myself as I tried to catch my breath
"I'm guessing you can't pin point where I am either so how bout we keep talkin, I would really rather talk for a few more minutes, instead of being silent" I said as the cave walls and ceilings echoed what I said
"And pray tell why would I allow that, it will make it a lot harder to know where you are, the sound of the cave isn't exactly pleasant to my dear nightmares ears" nightmare moon said as she growled a frustrated growl
"One: I only have about a minute of staying awake left and I would rather talk then succumbed to the darkness when I pass out, and two: I would love to know who's body you have inhabited" I said, guessing that she was surprised
"I read up on you before actually coming here just in case, and I have to say, you are one parasite, feeding in the host magical power and given that I don't see any wings on you from our first encounter" I moved around to evade the nightmare I heard moving towards me "I have to guest that your a powerful unicorn, possibly from the royal Canterlot research division, I had a lot of time to read on this country's government while I was at twilights castle" I said as I started the bleeding to slow down which means I'm about to pass out soon
"You are very clever and very observant , more than I thought, oh I'm going to miss playing with you but I have a country to take over and a kingdom to over throw" nightmare moon said as I heard her powering up to what sounded like a lethal spell
"Whoa whoa, isn't that a bit excessive and a bit to easy to find me with, I thought you liked playing with your food" I said hoping it worked
"I do, but I'm on a dead line and here's your deadline" nightmare said as she released her power and it went all around destroying everything and that includes her nightmare
'Crud!!!!' I thought as I transform to my dragon form at the last possible second
I didn't help much, all it did was made me get pushed up against the wall, I still got stung and I'm pretty sure I was close to dying
"Still alive I see, impressive, at least I know where you are, might as well take you with me" nightmare moon said as she levitated my soon to be unconscious body
"Are you still awake, judging by your wound you have about less than 30 seconds of consciousness left, I'll take you with me so I can something to taunt the element with" Nightmare said as we exited the cave and teleported to the throne room of the castle of the two sisters
And when they come breaking through those doors and when I have them surrounded, I'll just throw your body down in front of them and then finally" nightmare moon said as everything starts going dark
'Ten seconds' I thought to myself
"I'll kill you right in front of them, then I'll kill them all, oh isn't that just a wonderful idea, huh, hello, are already knocked out, all well" Nightmare moon said as her voice starts to fade out
'Is this really all I'm good for, is this all I have to give... No!!' I thought to myself as I power through the pain and escaped out of her power
I landed down a few feet away from the throne and nightmare moon hit the throne facing towards me
"What the-" all that came out as she fell down from the surprised escaped "well that was surprising" she said as she got up and wiped the dust on her front
"I'm not giving up that easily, I'm going to keep on fighting until my friends get here" I said as my eyes started to glow like they were on fire with a neon and mint green glow
"(Groan) come on, why don't you be a good little girl and go to sleep" Nightmare moon said being more irritated by the second
"Then come down here and make me you psychotic parasite" I said as my whole entire body began to burn with neon/mint fire
"How bout I make your nightmares true" nightmare moon said as she began to cast a spell
I was ready to fight anything she could throw at me, I won't lose, I'll do for my friends, for those I love, for everyone that are counting on me to keep her here
"From day to night, night to dream, dream to nightmare, I summon your greatest fear, your greatest nightmare, for this you will face yourself, I summon your nightmare to you" nightmare said as she waved her hands around with magical lines all around us
Then it happened, she shot her spell at me, it didn't hurt, it didn't push me back, it just illuminated on me
"Was that just a light spell, or something else" I wondered aloud
"Now, turn towards your nightmare, and quiver in fear" nightmare moon said as she pointed behind me
I turned and I saw something I really hate and fear, it was....
Twilights POV
'What to do, what to do, Jordan's injures and is still fighting nightmare moon with a major wound, from what I got from Applejack' I thought as I panicked at how fast all of this gone wrong
My mane was frazzled, my coat unkempt, my hands running through my hair and sometimes pulling out some hair, I was pacing back and fourth
"Ugggghhhh, Jordan could be dying and we have no way of knowing, or even a way to help or get her back here without running into nightmare moon and her nightmares
"Twi you need to calm down, I'm sure Jordan can handle those nightmares and I'm pretty sure she can hold her own against nightmare moon" rainbow dash said as she flew down to hold my left should with her right hand
"Anyway I'm more worry about AJ" rainbow dash said as pointed behind her to a sitting, very spaced out Applejack "she hasn't been the same since she got teleported here by Jordan, can you go talk to her, she seems to be most responsive to you so?" Rainbow asked rubbing behind her neck
"Ok, I'll see what I can do" I said as I walked over to AJ
Rainbow went out the window and gone back to her cloud home to prepare
"Hey AJ.... do you-" I didn't even get to finish
"Ah don't want to talk about it" AJ said as she continued looking down clenching her arm harder as if trying to fight through something painful
"Please AJ, you need to talk about what happen" I said side hugging her
"Ah already told you what happen" AJ said knowing that's not what I meant
"You know that's not what I meant, I mean what you feel when she teleported you away and to us" I said in a stern but caring voice
"Fine, when Jordan teleported me it felt like..like....like she didn't think I could handle my own, like I was holdin her back, like she didn't trust me to watch her back" AJ said as tears began to brim her eyes
"AJ, I know how you feel, being the princess of friendship and also being the future ruler of Equestria is like I'm going to hold it back, like I'm not good enough, but I look to you all and I know I am good enough" I said trying to calm AJ's fear
"Jordan probably did that to protect you and make sure we prepare for what ever nightmare moon will throw at us" I finished making a theory on why Jordan send Applejack to us instead of leaving her with them
"Yeah, you're probably right twi" AJ said sipping away a tear and finally smiling
"Ah'm going to practice fighting so Ah'll be ready for the fight against them varmints" AJ said as she ran out the castle doors and and to her barn I assume
"That was easier than I thought, a little to easy" I said as I thought about it "she's going back to the everfree forest to help and save Jordan isn't she" I said already knowing the answer as I turn around to see where AJ is going, and surprise, surprise she was going the opposite direction of the barn and into the everfree forest
"I should've known it wouldn't be that easy" I said as I facepalm before flying off to get our friends and to inform the princesses
"Spike prepare a letter, and it's going to be a short one!!!" I yelled in the castle
"Sure thing twi, What will it say?" Spike asked
"Dear princess celestia, hurry please Applejack just ran into the everfree forest to help and rescue Jordan and I don't know how long until she gets there so me and my remaining friends will going and get her before she kills herself, sincerely your fellow princess, twilight sparkle" I said finishing to what I was telling spike
"Well that part was obvious, like I'm surprise you didn't see it coming as soon as you started consoling her" spike said pointing out the obvious reaction from Applejack
"I know, I know, I just thought she really would listen and stay here to help with the preparation, I was hoping to much, but what can I expect from her, she was always stubborn, even before I met her" I said as I sit down with a hand keeping my head up
As spike blew on the letter to the princesses I got up and went to the defense and offense section of the library in the castle
"I'll need to put a cloaking spell, a powerful shield spell, and a protection spell against nightmares and dream walking to put in the school to protect the students" I said aloud so I can identify the books I'm looking for
"Ok, while you do that I'll gather the others and wake up chrysalis from her nap" spike said as he saluted off and walked out of the castle to get the others
Spike POV
'Ok, I need to get rainbow, fluttershy, rarity, and pinkie pie' I thought to myself as I ran towards rarity's first
I enter through the front of rarity's Carousel Boutique here in ponyville, I looked around and didn't see her up front, 'she must be in the back' I thought to myself
I went to the back of the boutique and I found rarity packing for the battle for nightmare moon
"Hey rarity, we need you at the castle ASAP" I said point in the general direction of the castle with my thumb
"Oh, why, did something happen" rarity said as she stop packing and looked at me with her waves and beautiful hair
"Oh, um, yeah, it's AJ, she ran off to help Jordan and twilight needs to put up protection spell around the school so the students will be safe" I said blushing slightly at how beautiful rarity is even in a crisis
"Hmmmm, that does sound like her, I'll get fluttershy while you rainbow dash ok" she said as she zipped up her bag and went out the back door towards the cottage that was fluttershy's
While she goes to fluttershy's I'll go fly up to rainbow dash's cloud home, it should be at the edge of ponyville
So I flew up to rainbow's house and just before I got there I was knocked out of the sky by something fast and hard
"(Groaning with pain) What the heck, did anyone get the name of that sky ship" I groaned out
"Hey there spike, still a loving pony dragon, how about we squish this pipsqueak of an ambassador" the voice that crash into me said
"Garble, I thought we settled our differences when I beat you in the dragon gauntlet" I said as I struggled to get free of his grip
"You didn't beat me, ember did, and I want to squish you for ruining my plans every time you came to the dragon lands" garble said as we continued to struggle for the upper hand
"Wait what do you mean we" I said finally realizing what he said
"Oh, I'm not on the side with the dragons anymore, I'm on a creatures side who shares the same ideals as me" garble said with his voice sounding more like two voices
I broke free to turn around to see that garble was covered in the nightmare gunk that chrysalis was covered in
He had night sky scales, eyes as white as the stars at night and his wings as dark as the space between the stars
"You left the dragons for nightmare moon, do you realize what she'll do if she succeeds in taking over Equestria!!!" I yelled as I got angry at garble for betraying his own
"You're one to talk, you could've stayed in the dragon lands in the beginning but you chose to stay with those useless, stupid, pansy ponies!!!" Garble and the nightmare yelled as he came charging forward
He lunged at me, I dodge to my left and did a round house kick, thank you shining armor, let's say it didn't keep him down for long
"Now, I'm going to put you out of the dragons misery, empress ember will thank me for this later" he said as he lunged at me a second time and this time I didn't have enough time to dodge, he got me by the throat and dragged me forward into the ground, we made it out of ponyville
"I'm not dying today, but I am going to beat the nightmares off of you" I said strained as I kicked him off of me
"Oof" night-garble said as he was launched backwards and landed hard into a tree
"Is that all you got, I got hit harder by that phoenix you raised than that weak kick" night-garble said as he got up with a vicious smile and a murderous look
"Garble, I know you're still in there, come on fight it, think about your sister, what would smolder think" I said as I dodge punch after punch "what would she think about her big brother going back to his old weak self of picking on dragons who are being themselves" I said as I grabbed his right fist with my left palm
"Sis, agghh, no we don't need her, we don't any of them, we just need us and nightmare moon" night-Garble said, for a split second the real garble was fighting to get through
Garble and the nightmare were struggling to keep control
"Come on Garble, you can kick this nightmares butt, do it for your sister, do it for smolder" I said as I pinned him down in the ground while his back was turned to me
"All we need is us, you know this- no, get off of me you sorry excuse of a parasite- you can't get ride of us, we are one, we are nightmares, we are night-Garble!!!" Both garble and nightmare were fight for control, I need to get the others, but they won't get here in time, I need this deal with immediately
"Hey Garble, if your still in there hold on and I'm sorry" I said as I took a breath in
"What is the purple dragon talking about" said the nightmare
I spewed fire from my mouth as hot and as big as I can get it, it went all over his body, I heard a screeching which I hoped was from the nightmare
"(Loud screeching) What is happening, this shouldn't be happening to us, what are you, what kind of dragon are you" the nightmare said in garbled voice
It was melting off of garble and he help me to burn the nightmare with his fire as well, we both stopped to look if we succeeded in burning the nightmare
"You are strong, young dragon, but you are not strong enough, Nightmare moon will rule all and every single creature will bow down to her" it said as it continues to shrink and shrivel into dust
"She will be queen nightmare moon!!!" It shouted as we finished it off
"....hey, spike, thanks, for not giving up I mean" garble said after a few minutes of silence
"No problem, what are friends for, anyway meet me at the castle I have to get the others, we are going to face nightmare moon tonight" I said as I flew back up and to rainbow dashes house
