The forest was full of life to say the least. Leila felt a little estranged with the state of the place as she was not able to be in these places for almost a year now. The scent of earth and breath of life of many creatures made her feel alive in ways she almost missed.
Thankfully their first day started well. There were no unexpected episodes nor were there any hiccups that occured as they advanced deeper in the forest. They easily found a place to camp for the night as they started to check the parameters of their area. Although they are unlikely to stay here for long, they had to ensure their safety. Help is hard to get in the case of some accident that happens to them.
As they are getting their tents ready, the whole party was doing this systematically. Under the leadership of Harvey and the insistence of Sophie, they were able to squeeze all their tasks in record time. Much to the military instructor who accompanied them, surprise and delight.
