On the day of the party, the dress code that the students actually used was their uniform. With their teachers' usual unreliable tendencies, they are no longer as surprised now. After all, who uses their students like they are part of the normal workforce?
So although some fashionable students protested, it was still manageable. Their school uniform also looked good. In terms of materials and design, there is not much to criticize with. So they could only suck it up and don't resist as much.
After all, everyone recognized the unreasonable side of their school. One rule is implemented and no one can overturn it until it is taken back by the law maker of their small community. A plenty of self inflicted harm is what awaits them if they go and fight back.
