Humans were always the most selfish bunch. Though there are plenty of races Leila knew might argue otherwise, for her it has always been the humans.
There was never a time wherein peace reigned upon a human land. Chaos was always so pronounced wherever they thrive. Making others miserable or stepping on others to be superior seems to be their innate trait.
Though she could argue that there are indeed some nice humans in the world, they hardly lived longer than the bad ones. Them being recognized in history is an even more ironic thing too, they are basically painted which way the one at the top deems suitable. Not because of admiration of sorts, rather due to their usage.
The situation at hand tells her that this is the same thing as the ones she once saw. Noble intentions it seems, but ultimately it was just another form of selfishness.
