Leila and Brian had separated a few streets away in the business district. The teen was reluctant to leave as there are fewer and fewer chances for both of them to see each other again. Whether they admit it or not, things don't work like when they were children.
As children, there are fewer rules to abide by. Everything was simplified because that's what younglings are for. Needing only a permission and agreement from their guardians and they are off to go.
But as old as they are now, everything now had labels. Only few knew their connection and there are fewer people who understood that they are simply two children catching up after a long time they did not see. Especially here in the capital where some traditions still strongly persist.
