Chereads / Facing Into The Sky / Chapter 19 - Infinity Identities

Chapter 19 - Infinity Identities

In the previous chapter, Lisa peeked at Jackson's cell phone and saw Jackson's old photos. She is suspicious of Jackson because she saw a photo of Jackson with many celebrities. Jackson found out about Lisa's actions and immediately took his cellphone back. Then, at recess, Jackson saw Lisa in the field holding up her cellphone.

Jackson's POV.

Ah, fuck it. Now that's the problem, Jackson. Good, I don't know why someone would want to spit out someone else's identity? That's their privacy. Besides, Lisa was almost suspicious of me, now Dessy. Life as a high school student is full of resentment that is not clear at all.

I pretended to approach the crowd listening to whether Dessy's deduction was correct.

"Looks like ...", Dessy began to give the deduction results.

Looks like?

"This username must be a girl, right?"

Damn it, everyone would know that a username like that would definitely have used by a girl. There's no way a boy can use a lovely username like that, weird. If there is a boy who claims that his username belongs to him, be careful... Lisa and other girls will not trust you, kid. He would consider an attention seeker by all schools plus an outcast, not forgetting to be a pervert.

A geeky man came into a frenzy.

"That's my username, Lisa. It's me, I already admit it."

Talked about that recently, great.

The girls immediately showed their disgusting faces. Yep, I knew it would happen like that.

"A guy like you use that username? Moreover, pretending to admit that you are Maria's adopted child? In your dreams."

The child was not embarrassed at all, he still insisted that he was Maria's adopted son.

"Uh, can't you believe it? That's real!", The boy showed his cellphone and gave it to one of the students.

They also saw the cell phone belonging to the geeky boy.

"Impossible! He's right!! That is the account!", Said one of the students.

Huh??

The girls scramble to take the guy's cell phone to believe the guy's clarification. The guy was to the point that it was being asked how Maria could adopt a guy-like him (Even though it sounds like an insult.)

"I had adopted a few years ago. It could have been 2-3 years ago."

He adopts even before I retired from being an artist and she is still the former director I admire? How can I not know about that? Usually, she likes to tell me about her new things.

"Oh, yeah? Sorry, we took the judge about you. Tell me about Maria sometime, okay?", The girls apologized and the boy accepted.

Dessy looks confused because she deduced him wrong. My deduction also wrong. Actually, it would make sense that Flower_Blossom's identity was Florence. As for Lisa, she looked incredulous. Hahahaha, how does it feel to get cheated? If you were expecting it Florence keeps on showing up, what a shame. Hahaha…

By the way, where is Florence? I didn't see her earlier.

Lisa's POV

What was that about?

Earlier a geeky boy claimed to be Maria's adopted child and is that true? How can it be?

I couldn't help thinking that the child was actually adopted by Maria.

I went straight to class feeling troubled, dizzy. This is the first time dizzy from looking for people's identities. After this school is over, I have to find that kid.

The break is over; the next lesson begins.

"Okay, kids. Now we are going to learn about identity theft."

Interested to hear those words.

"Identity theft is a crime when someone uses the information to do crimes. The term identity theft was a lay claim to in 1964. Since then, the definition of identity theft has been distinct. Identity theft uses the identity of another person as a method. People whose identities have to get stolen can experience harmful consequences, especially criminals. This information including a name, bank account, and password that can use."

The person whose identity was stolen could suffer huge losses...

"When a criminal identifies himself to the police as another individual at the time of the arrest. In some cases, criminals had obtained documents using signatures stolen from fake identities. Provided the succeeds, charges would have placed under the victim's name. Victims may only learn of the incident by receiving a citation."

Even that person will get prosecuted while the criminal gets away, that's cruel.

"It may be difficult for a victim of criminal identity theft to delete their records. To erase the criminal record whether the identity of the criminal can determine. Victims may need to find real officers and prove their own identity. Obtaining deletion of court records may also need. The authorities may keep the victim's name as an alias in their victim database. The problem that criminal theft may face is that data may still have false records in their database. From this time, future background checks may return invalid criminal records. This is an example of the kind impact that can continue to affect victims."

I raised her hand, "Sir, I want to ask."

"Yes, Lisa? What do you want to ask?"

"How did that criminal get into that person's identity and use it as an evil thing?"

"Good question. Thieves get information about what they use to authenticate themselves, to impersonate them. Public, given, or sold without being properly sanitized, using public records about every citizen, issued in official registers such as voter lists, stealing bank or credit cards, identity cards, passports, authentication tokens, usually by pickpockets, transgression into houses, or mail theft, and general knowledge inquiry schemes offering account verification, such as "What is your mother's maiden name?", "What was your first car model?", or "What was the name of your first pet?"."

"Those are dangerous things to do. So, I hope you will be aware of your identity. Don't give personal information to someone you don't know. Who knows they want to commit a crime. The lesson is over, thank you. " The teacher immediately left the classroom.

Skip school.

Going home, I immediately looked for Maria's adopted son.

The acquisition of personal identifiers is possible through serious privacy breaches. For me, this is usually the result of giving out their personal information but documents.

I saw the boy was chatting with other students. He seems cheerful, not lying. But, I could feel that the boy seemed worried about his condition.

As I walked over to him, a Jeep appeared and two men grabbed him. Everyone saw the scene. What are they doing? For a moment they immediately grabbed the child without tapping him on the shoulder??

"Hey, did you see it earlier?"

"That's the guy that was in recess earlier, right? Who claims to be Maria's adopted child?"

"He was locked up; you know..."

The atmosphere became crowded because they worry about the guy's condition.

I have to follow that guy.

It was right, Isaac's car arrived when the jeep was starting to start and the distance was not far.

"Isaac, let's chase that Jeep!", I immediately forced Issac to step on the gas to chase the jeep.

"Why, Lisa? What's with that jeep?"

"That jeep kidnapped an innocent child!!!"

"Okay, okay!!" Isaac immediately stepped on the gas.
