I walk over to him, about to tap his shoulder but he turns to me as I do so, stopping me in my tracks. My brows ease and he turns away from me. "Apologies Victoria I am very jumpy today. I don't mean to-!" I embrace him and I'm not sure why but I feel that he needs it.
I hug him tight feeling his body warm up and his arms wrap around mine as he lays his head on my shoulder. "T-thank you Victoria. That means a lot actually." We separate and it seems he has a bit more energy from this because he goes right back to work.
Taking pins from a nearby jar and pinning different parts of the fabric. "Hmm I think the sleeves should have see-through gloves do you agree?" He goes over to take up a ruler and scissors, cutting the extra fabric in the back and measuring the top of fabric.
I smile slightly, "Oh yes I think that would be nice. Maybe finger-less?" He turns to me smiling wide and I return the smile feeling a sense of welcome in his eyes. "I do like that very much Victoria thank you." He goes back to pinning and I lean fourth and backward with a thought. "Oh Charles by the way, I actually do enjoy it when you speak French and Irish, it's something new to me and if you don't mind I would love to learn more about the language. The culture even, I want to know your experiences. I think it would be rather interesting."
He stabs a pin on the side of the mannequin freezing in place. I almost think something wrong happened and I'm honestly not sure. Was that to much? "Charles is that okay? I mean you don't have to I know you're really busy and everything." He shakes his head, "No no actually I would love that. I love talking about my heritage and to hear that you don't mind it makes me." He faces me again with a gaze I never seen before.
It intrigues me almost and his ears go red, as he continues to stare at me, "You are one of the most open souls I ever met. Thank you for wanting to know more about me I-!" He covers his mouth, seeming like he is unsure what to say. Did I leave him speechless?
