On planet Delion the ground shook violently as endless hell-fire fell to earth from the skies above. Spaceships surrounded the planet as two forces fought this one-sided slaughter. The planet's defenses were on the verge of collapse, struggling for more time as they waited for the arrival of reinforcements.
"Shields are down to 14%, estimated time till collapse 1 hour, 5 minutes and 3 seconds."
"Forces are down to 20%, 19%, 18% they keep decreasing rapidly. We have lost fields ten to three, two has been sized, reinforcements won't make it."
Many reports kept coming into the captain's ear as he looked at the virtual field, where their forces were being massacred by the second. He has been in this post for the past twenty years and never yielded this stronghold, yet today luck was not in their favor.
He closed his eyes and listened to the trembling of the building, all the fire and destruction happening nearby. He could vividly see everything collapsing, all of his hard work has been demolished. He opened his eyes and said solemnly," Prepare code [28t45] we have to delay for at least 40 more minutes," yes he had to at least save the Empire's ambassador and his family. He will die to save them, at least with this, his mission would not have been a total failure.
"There has been a breach in section AR1, they are targeting the shield energy supply, we need to expel them or we won't last past three minutes."
"Send out every personnel if have to, we must make time no matter the cost."
"Yes sir!" Soon all the technicians prepared for the inevitable. They too felt pride in the Empire and will gladly die for it.

Amir was escorted by his guards across the neverending labyrinth. He had been rushed here without an explanation but he knew that this might be his end. His feet were already tired from running for the past hour and he could feel as they would give out any second now.
"Ack"
As expected soon Amir loses his balance due to all the trembling and fatigue falling headfirst on the ground.
Kile helps him stand back on his feet as they continue on their way. Amir was able to see Kile's face and he could tell that he was also anxious. Kyle has been his most trusted guard throughout his life, and he would give his life for him without a second thought. Amir just hoped that today wasn't that day.
"Hang on were almost there Amir," said Kyle with a determined tone. Up ahead light pierced through the tunnel blinding Amir's eyes as they adjusted to the light. After regaining focus, a platform was shown where a ship was suspended on the air and ready to leave at a moment's notice. Amir ran behind Kyle passing by the remaining forces which seemed to be protecting the platform. With just a look he could see the terrible condition the soldiers and the mechs were, they wouldn't last long in any battle. Reaching the ship's entrance Kyle stoped without a notice causing Amir to run right past him.
"Amir hurry and get on, I'll be right behind you," said Kyle as he pushed Amir onto the ship where his brother was waiting on.
"Wait no, you get on too. I don't trust those words!!" Amir refuted, anyone could tell that the situation they were in was terrible, so how could Kyle survive out there.
"Sorry, but no can do kiddo. I'll entrust Mollie to you, tell her I'll be late again" Kyle said with a weak smile in his face
Amir was dazed by his words. 'Late?! You will never see her again!!'
Without giving him time to answer an escort dragged him in, closing the door thigh. The ship raised its hight, turned away from Kyle, and took flight.
Kyle looked at the departing ship with sad eyes, he wished to go with Amir and see his daughter one last time, but he had to stop the pursuing enemy that was at their backs or none Amir wouldn't be able to relay his message.
'She turns three today huh. I'm sorry I won't make it again.' Kyle sighed, before making a determined face.
Soon the platform was besieged by heavy fire and the energy fields flickered managing to save most of the forces. Every mech that was on standby was now engaging with the enemy, firing laser beams at rapid speed stoping the enemy's advancement.
Mechs and soldiers containing plasma blades began to tare shields apart leaving their enemy defenseless as they took their positions. Kyle retracted his blade after taking down his opponent and was soon covered by a deep black suit emitting high energy levels around the battlefield.
He stepped forward and flew straight at a nearby enemy mech shattering their shield, he prepared his fist and sent a punch forwards frying the mech's system and burning any living thing inside it. He continued to repel every attack without yielding the platform to anyone, he would die here before ever stepping back.
But no matter how many he slew, more kept arriving making it ever so difficult to continue fighting without risking getting hit.
VOOM
An immense energy wave was soon emitted by the enemy as a dark-blue frame suit came speeding towards Kyle. He prepared his shield with maximum output but to his demise, it was shattered among impact. A blade soon pierced trough his abdomen sending intense heat trough Kyle's body. Without giving him any rest the enemy frame twisted the blade leaving a deep hole as blood began to burst through.
Grinding his teeth Kyle surpassed the recommended energy output, damaging his nerves for more power. He activated every shield he had to push off his attacker, turrets appeared behind his back and fired at the enemy without rest. He came rushing towards him with a blade in hand, slashing down towards the enemy's head expelling tremendous force from his muscles.
Keeping the enemy at bay, he took a glimpse around for a second and an aura of despair began to fill his heart. The rest of the defenders were barely holding on, more and more of them began to fall as they gave their last breath.
Kyle refocused on his opponent, who he hasn't been able to lay a single finger on. He kept fighting but he was getting slower and slower as time passed. To his surprise, the enemy grabbed his blade without effort and sent a kick to his stomach dropping Kyle onto the ground.
Seeing their leader fall, the soldiers began to rush towards Kyle trying to assist him but were stopped by the increasing number in the enemy's ranks.
The enemy frame suit stomped on Kyle's damaged body breaking his ribs even further, causing to lose all senses from his lower body.
'I hope this will be enough time. Amir, I hope you don't break your promise.'
Stunned by the red energy appearing on every defenders' body the deep-blue mech's owner begins to retreat at rapid speed.
"Not today," said Kyle as he grabbed hold of the fleeing enemy mech suit's leg with the last of his strength. Fear filled his eyes as he tried to free himself by ejecting the leg's armor but to his dismay, the platform was engulfed in a devastating explosion. The fire consumed everything, destroying friends and foe alike.
Dust filled the remnants of the platform obscuring all visibility in the area. Silence soon followed announcing the end of the battle. Disrupting the silence, a drone breaks out of the ruble before scanning its surroundings and takes flight after Amir's ship.
