"I wait to catch that final glimpse of you before leaving, and then I hold on to that for the rest of the day."
...
I return to my room the way I had left when I went to Ayan's place: dashing to my room in front of Ansh's half-shut room. If he didn't catch me then, there's no guarantee that he might not catch me today, and I'm in no mood to hear a lecture about how shitty of a host I am.
Entering my room, I shut the door behind me, catching my breath in relief for having entered my room safely, but my relief is short-lived because when I pull myself off the door I find myself staring at Divs, whose hand lies in Ansh's lap.
Their conversation dies and Divs quickly retracts her hand when she notices me. If I didn't suddenly care about coming off rude in front of them, I would have rolled my eyes so hard right now.
