After each lesson Gwydion would slip notes to Ganon as they exited the class, but Ganon wouldn't open it until he was on his own. He would stand just around the corner to read them. As he opened the current one, he looked around to check he was alone. Then his eyes moved to see what it said.
'Meet in the Owlery tonight after the feast' Ganon's eyes widened as he leant backwards with his back hitting the wall forcing air out of his mouth. Folding the parchment back up, as he placed his hands in his pockets he found a second note, that he unfolded and scanned the parchment.
'Very few people notice me, thank you for making me feel happy. I can't remember the last time I felt this happy, you make me feel alive. This is the only way I can express how I feel at the moment, thank you for being patient.'
Ganon felt something stirring deep inside of him as he folded the parchment back up and went to class. He sat down, looked at the back of Gwydion's head. It wasn't long before he turned around and Ganon nodded to him in response.
Gwydion smiled throughout the rest of the day going to each class as normal following his fellow Gryffindors. The rest of the day had somehow flown by as they were entering the great hall for the feast. Gwydion was already finishing off his glorious meal when he turned to Hawthorn.
"I'm gonna take a walk, I will meet you back in the common room later," Gwydion said.
"OK Gwydion, you sure you know the way back?" Hawthorn asked.
"Yeah I will be able to find it now thanks," he smiled as he got up.
"Don't forget the password is" Hawthorn said as he leaned forward and whispered 'Wattlebird' in Gwydion's ear. Gwydion smiled and nodded.
"Thanks," he said before he headed for the great hall door. He looked back briefly at Ganon before walking out the door. Ganon winked at Gwydion then turned back to face Ash-Strix.
"I've liked all my classes so far, how about you?" Ganon asked.
"I like potions and defense against the dark arts, I'm not fond of charms." Ash-Strix responded giving no reason.
Ganon went to grab a drumstick "These are so good," he said with his mouth full.
"I've noticed" Ash-Strix sneaked in a smirked without Ganon noticing, which quickly turned serious as he went to face Ganon "I've noticed that you keep wandering off" Ash-Strix asked .
Ganon paused for a moment and swallowed hard "Oh that's because it gets tiring when people follow me around, I get no time to myself" Ganon said honestly.
"Yeah I noticed a lot of people following you, mainly girls. Yet, you don't seem to be interested in any of them," Ash-Strix said
"Only reason being I had recently got out of a bad relationship as she was too clingy, now stop being nosey," Ganon said, "I've got to go now, so I can avoid not being followed. Password is 'pure -blood' right?" Ganon mouthed. Ash-Strix nodded with a frown and watched him go. After Ganon left the great hall he jogged a little to the owlery.
They thought they were being discreet, however it hadn't gone unnoticed. The triplets of Ravenclaw had noticed them acting strange. The triplets are known to everyone in the school as busy bodies, although they keep to themselves. They all have a one-track minds and have a habit of being nosey about almost everything.
They aren't usually curious about people, but when Olin Falcon, the youngest and the most curious out of the three, strayed from his siblings he noticed Ganon holding Gwydion's hand to only have Gwydion pulled-away. He did what comes naturally to him, he told his brothers. Dalton, the oldest of the three by one minute, and Phillip the second oldest. They quickly finished filling themselves up with food and went to investigate what Olin saw.
They had thought about their plan of action and thought of a few ideas, but decided to just do nothing. They were curious to where this could lead. They are always open to anything they see.
Gwydion and Ganon spent most evenings together, they had gotten to know each other more. With each day passing by being with Ganon had Gwydion opening up with confidence. Ganon appreciate what he had a bit more being with Gwydion.
One evening Gwydion decided enough was enough, he couldn't wait any longer for Ganon. So he took the plunge and kissed him. Ganon was so shocked that he couldn't move any other part of his body except his lips.
The triplets of Ravenclaw couldn't believe what they were seeing, they couldn't stop watching. It was like they were watching a movie. They suddenly heard footsteps and the sound of people talking approaching, so they decided to leave.
The sounds of the triplets running away startled Ganon and Gwydion, it forced them to break apart. They walked to the window arch that overlooks the landscape which is a mixture of the lake and the forests that looked serene and calming.
"Its a beautiful evening isn't it?" said a deep voice came from behind them. The boys turned around startled.
"Oh hi Professors" They both greeted in unison.
"It is a lovely evening isn't it?" Gwydion asked whilst blushing.
"We were just leaving, so it's all yours," Ganon added quickly.
"Thank you boys, and goodnight," Thea Nightshade called after them.
After the boys left Thea and Oliver Nightshade watched the sunset on the horizon. They hadn't felt the way they did, they had found their young love cute, feeling the warm energy flowing inside, rekindling their chemistry. Thea and Oliver Nightshade held hands and turned their heads followed by their bodies with the other hand coming together also, they both leaned in and softly kissed.
Ganon and Gwydion were heading back, they were about to separate to go to their own houses. When suddenly Ganon, grabbed Gwydion by the arm and dragged him all the way to the library. He wanted to continue where they left off. Just as Ganon placed his hands on Gwydion and leaned in to kiss him, there was a loud crash.
'BANG!' they jumped apart quickly.
"What was that?" They both asked in unison. Gwydion seemed slightly worried, "It's ok Gwydion, it was just the door shutting" Ganon said soothingly hugging Gwydion.
They wanted to continue kissing, but they decided to call it a night. They left the library to go to their own houses.
Ganon hated the idea of leaving Gwydion alone that evening, he just watched him walk-away, then suddenly remembered there was a place they could go without worrying about being seen.
"Gwydion? Wait!" Ganon called out, Gwydion turned on his feet, smiled and started walking back to Ganon.
"I just remembered that there's a place we could go, I can't say it here but I will show you tomorrow night," Ganon said quickly.
Ganon watched Gwydion walk-away again, smiling knowing that tomorrow will be another day, and he headed straight to the Slytherin common room.
--- o0o ---
The next day came and it passed very quickly, Divination was the only class that Ganon and Gwydion could sit opposite each other without being too obvious and with Ash-strix not really bothered about taking Divination, he often kept his eyes on Ganon trying to figure him out, 'what are you doing with that mudblood' he mouthed to himself.
Gwydion glanced up one time and was a little worried and every few minutes he would keep glancing up when Ganon had his head down. Gwydion didn't tell Ganon as he didn't want to cause any further problems between Ash and Ganon. Gwydion was glad the class was over has he headed straight for the great hall with Ganon by his side.
They had resumed their usual antics after the feast, that night Ganon grabbed Gwydion and showed him a place he had accidentally found a few nights ago. Ganon had planned to show Gwydion this place where they can have some privacy. Ganon took Gwydion to the third floor and there they stood in front of the massive wall.
"Ganon why are we standing in front of this wall?" Gwydion asked a little confused.
"Gwydion just wait and watch" Ganon responded facing the wall.
Gwydion waited then his face changed and looked in awe when suddenly something started to appear, Gwydion's eyes grew wider still as he recognised it was a massive door. A door that materialises from the wall.
They knew that their privacy was now safe. They stepped inside and Gwydion looked around.
"What is this place?" he asked.
"This is the 'room of requirements', it's basically a room that appears in time of need" Ganon explained
"Wow!" is all Gwydion could say.
Ganon smiled "You like this now, just wait till you get inside, you will love it I'm sure of it"
Gwydion turned to face Ganon then back to the door and together they entered the room.
"It's huge…" Gwydion said almost shouting.
"ssh .. " Ganon covered Gwydion's mouth laughing, "This is called the room of requirements, it appears to you in time of need."
"This room is amazing" Gwydion yelled out in excitement and prancing around, as Ganon just walked around the room watching and smiling at Gwydion enjoying himself.
"Now you come out of your shell? But seeing you this way, just makes me want to be with you more" Ganon said flirtatiously.
"Well you bring it out in me Ganon, why don't come a little closer and dance with me?" Gwydion asked confidently.
Ganon walked towards Gwydion slowly teasing him step by step, but Gwydion starts to laugh as Ganon attempts to follow Gwydion's moves. Ganon gets a little more serious and grabs Gwydion's arms to only pull him in closer and started slow dancing. Gwydion felt comfortable, he felt safe as he laid his head on Ganon's shoulder.
