Chapter 192 - Chapter 192

The note was something that took me by surprise when I first recieved it. I thought it was some sort of tissue but then noticed that the man sneakily passed it to me like someone was watching his every move.

"Could it be a love letter, my lady?" Haktor asked which earned him an elbow from Marionne.

"She's ten, General Haktor, while that man was already in his twenties. Much older than us." Marionne reminded before bending down to my height. "If my lady feels that she was insulted by that man, we could teach him a lesson for you."

I looked at Marionne and shook my head.

"I don't really think this is a love letter." I looked at them seriously. "We should go somewhere else to discuss this."

"We should go somewhere with food." Uriel suggested which made us look at her weirdly. But since no one rejected the idea, we all just put on our hoods and started walking towards one of the most expensive restaurants here with a private room.

After the waiter served all our orders and retreated outside as we ate, I took out the paper and read it with my sisters. After reading, I passed it on to the generals then the knights. The message written was simple; 'You are followed.'

It means that the man noticed there were people in the shadows following us since we left the mansion. He was warning us about it.

But what he did not know was we already knew we were being followed!

The moment we arrived at the capital, Athy had her summoned spirits protect us from the shadows. So when they noticed a bunch of people following us, Athy made her summoned spirits watch those people from the shadows too.

"The people following us are not anybody as they are able to hide and blend perfectly in the surroundings." Haktor said. "And that man actually noticed them that easily."

"That man is not just some lame shop keeper." Marionne nodded as she sipped her tea.

"Haktor, later tonight, go and invite that man to the mansion." Athy ordered as she looked outside the window just in time a very thin needle flew towards her.

Seeing as Athy dodged the needle by less than a centimeter, Uriel raised her hand and caught it between her middle and index finger. The move was so smooth that even the generals were in awe.

"That was amazing, my lady!" The knights cheered in amazement.

"Tsk.." Athy rolled her eyes before snatching the needle from Uriel's hand and threw it back where it came from.

A body dressed in black suddenly dropped from a tree. But before anyone could see it, two men in black dragged it away.

"Who sent them again?" Uriel asked, looking at the window too.

"A certain Prince." Athy answered. "Crown Prince, to be exact."

"It seems that he wants to play." I smiled innocently.

"I don't think so." Athy replied with a light shake of her head. "One said that what their master wants is to know the color of sister Mel's dress for the banquet."

I looked at her weirdly.

"Why is that pervert curious about my dress?" I asked.

"To match?" Marionne answered.

I looked at her ridiculously.

"There are times when men matches their clothes with women they are interested in. To show that they are interested." Marionne explained with a shrug.

"That would be really weird." I replied with a disgusted look.

"That would be the case, if they did not attack us." Uriel pointed out.

Athy tilted her head.

"They didn't." She said after a while. "There are two groups following us."

"Wait." Uriel held up her hand. "You're telling me that there are two groups following us?"

"Did I stutter?" Athy questioned back.

"No, but.." Uriel looked at me as if asking for help.

I rolled my eyes at her.

"Do you know who sent the other one?" I asked my youngest sister.

Athy frowned and looked out the window before turning back to face me again.

"It's your best friend." She smirked. "A certain Lord McClare."

Haktor slammed his fist on the table.

"That bastard!" He gritted.

"Ehem." Athy cleared her throat. "Did the general forget who he is eating with?"

Haktor gulped as he slowly and stiffly lifted his head to look at Athy who was smiling brightly at him.
