If the necromancer's face was not a jigsaw puzzle of skin sewn together, I'd bet that his face was already red from anger at this moment. He was trembling and huffing soaking wet and still sizzling. I could almost see steam coming out of his ears.
"You.." The necromancer glared at me. "You will regret this. I willa make your life a living hell after this!"
"You can't even defeat me when I am pre-occupied with something else, yet you dare to say that?" I scoffed. "Do you really not notice how your undead are losing numbers and you have not made me move from where I stood this whole time?"
The necromancer froze and looked around us. There were many sword slashes on the ground but there was only a circular pattern around me and no slashes reached beyond that circle.
"Impossible!" The necromancer exclaimed and took a few steps back. Looking around, he also noticed that the undead are now fewer in number.
"I suggest you surrender and spill out everything. From who is working with you, ordering you, to who are connected to supplying you with bodies." I told him as I swung my sword on my shoulder. I was trying to be intimidating, like a gangster.
The necromancer cackled and looked at me mockingly.
"Did you really think that this is all I have?" He said in a confident tone. "This is just the beginning."
He extended his hand, his right hand that he used to hold the sword. In a split second, he was able to open a portal. It was bigger than what I could do. It looked like the portal that popped out of our front yard during the knighting ceremony months ago.
I narrowed my eyes at the necromancer.
It does not look the same, it was the same one! Which means that the necromancer who sent tgose zombie demon beasts to our castle is this very same one standing smuggly in front of me.
My hands are itching to beat the crap out of him now.
I focused my eyes at the necromancer's body and I found it weird that his right hand and left hand are not of the same color but I did not really mind it much until now. From what I know, their kinds sew parts of other people on themselves when their body parts rot. So it means that the parts that has sewing marks are not his.
I am basically looking at a walking Frankenstein!
'Sis!'
I heard Uriel call in my head.
'Sis! Emergency. A horde of undead is on your way.'
I tried to focus on sending the message to Uriel. Hopefully, they could get ready before the zombies reach them.
'Already here.'
Was the reply I recieved. Was I too late?
'Athy burned them all using fire from the underworld.'
Uriel's voice came. She sounded pleased, even proud.
'Make sure no one talks about it.'
I reminded her. It would be bad if people notice Athy's overpowering abilities. They might start pestering that little girl who in turn would not mind breaking one or all of those that disturb her. She might not kill them but she is someone who always preferred to make her enemies wish death instead.
'Saintess Sachi is making sure of that.'
Uriel replied in a confident tone. Saintess Sachi's ability to make people keep their mouths shut is still a mystery to me.
'Good. I'm still taking care of the culprit. Bring everyone to safety, I'll follow in a few.'
After hearing an 'okay' from her I focused on the enemy in front of me. He was still taking his time with the portal and making a zombies of every kind come out of it one after the other.
I did not stop him.
Why?
It would be better for him to bring all his undead here, that way, Sebastiene can take care of them all in one swoop.
Speaking of Sebastiene, he was still busy burning zombies to dust. When he noticed the huge portal, he leaped to my side.
"This.." He narrowed his eyes at the necromancer.
"You said that the sword was owned by your fried right?" I asked him to which he nodded. "Then that portal is also your friend's portal?"
Sebastiene nodded again.
"I see." I looked at the necromancer again. "Your friend is indeed alive, but is missing an arm."
"Seems like my lady noticed it too." Sebastiene commented. "That right arm is my friend's arm. But I'm curious where my friend is and how that thing got her arm?."
"The only way to know is to question him." I shrugged.
"Does my lady want to switch?" Sebastiene asked hopefully.
"No." I shook my head. "But I have something else for you to do."
Sebastiene looked at me curiously.
"Go find out where these undead came from. Check for any survivors and destroy everything that you think is not of any importance." I ordered him.
"How?" He asked, though I could tell that he already knew my plan.
"The only way there is." I answered with a smile as I nodded my head towards the portal which was slowly closing.
Sebastiene swallowed hard and forced a smile.
"As my lady wishes." He said with a bow.
