With Sebastiene gone and the portal closed, I was left alone to handle the necromancer and hundreds or thousands of zombies by myself. But this time I can focus on fighting since I was sure everyone else is safe.
The necromancer looked at the portal where Sebastiene disappeared into before it completely closed.
"What the?" He frowned before he turned to look at me, confused.
I smiled at him and shrugged.
"You know, we have been fighting for sometime now." I said as I swung my sword from side to side, then pointed it towards him. "I never got your name. Or did you forget your own name from changing body parts too many times?"
"Ha!" He exclaimed. "I don't need to introduce myself to a dead person."
With that said, he rushed to me with his sword. I shook my head lightly and prepared to block his attack. The moment our swords clashed, he used his other hand to attack me using lightning. I was able to dodge it but he stomped his foot on the ground making it soft.
"Shit." I cursed the moment I realized that the softness was actually the ground becoming a quicksand making me stuck in place. "Are you serious right now?"
"Hahahahaha!" He laughed menacingly, looking at me like I'm stupid. "If you like staying in that same place, then I'll help you!"
He attacked me again but I used the strength of his attack to push me out of the quicksand and close to the zombies behind me. He raised his left hand and countless lightning rained down on me. Fortunately, I was able to dodge them all with my speed. He then followed it with kicking sharp metal poles towards me but I was also able to dodge those even being able to make some hit the zombies behind me. His next move was to splash me with a water ball. But as a water ability user myself, I was able to make it explode before it reached me. All the while dodging the zombies that were attacking me simultaneously.
"Is that all?" I smugly asked him, looking at the sky for the full overpowered effect. Feeling confident from being able to dodge his attacks.
I slowly turned my head to look at him as coolly as possible, just like how I saw it in action movies back on Earth.
"You should try harder." I said and looked at him straight in the eye.
That was when I realized that he had his right hand raised to the sky. I looked up and saw dark clouds looming over us. I looked back at his face and saw his wide grin, one that made the stitches on his face actually look scary.
'Fuck.' I thought, realizing his plan.
"Thank you for the idea earlier, vessel. Goodbye." He even winked at me before shooting the lightning strike towards me who was standing on wet ground.
The intensity of the lightning strike was so strong that it exploded as soon as it touched the wet ground. The lightning hit the ground which was soaking wet, electrifying everything that touched it. It then created a thick smoke and mist that covered everything.
When the smoke settled down, the necromancer excitedly looked towards where I stood. The zombies around also started to stand back up again. Seeing the ground burnt black, he began to laugh again.
"All of you!" He pointed at the zombies standing close to where the explosion happened and ordered them. "Look for the vessel and bring her back to me."
The zombies walked towards the area where the lightning hit and started to search through the bodies of their fellow undead who were also burnt by the attack.
"Hahahahahaha! I knew it was best to attack while she is still young and unable to fully control her abilities as a vessel." The necromancer happily talked to himself. "Those people have no idea when it was best to attack. All they can do was order me around all the time! Did they think I cannot do this myself? I am the great Kamarius! The great necromancer! King of the undead!"
He then turned to the undeads standing behind him and raises his hands, still holding the sword.
"Clap!" He ordered and all the zombies raised their hands and clapped lifelessly.
"Yes! That's it! Clap for your creator." He said proudly. "I can already see the look on their faces when I bring the vessel back. Their surprised look followed by their happy smiles. I can't wait to tell them how I, Kamarius, defeated a vessel. I will then go down in history as the only one who have ever defeated one. People will then start worshipping me! How strong I am. That time, I won't need the help of those men and I can finally stand on top! Hahahahahhaha."
I listened to everything he was saying and it became clear to me that I was indeed his target. He was also working with more than one man and that he was taking orders from them. It also seemed that he was being ordered by them because they were protecting his identity.
The undead finished searching and even overturned all the bodies that were lying on the ground. They did not see any signs of my body though.
"What do you mean she's not there?!" He screamed at the undead who were looking at him. "Search again! Do it carefully."
He ordered the zombies, and I realized that he could actually understand them eventhough they could not speak.
Telepathy?
"Hey, Kamarius!" I shouted from above him, peeking my head from my portal. "Looking for me?"
