I sat in front of the mirror and listened to Sebastiene talk about the lone wolf as he dried my hair.
"The lycan king has twenty four children with only four sons. The eldest son is the currently the right hand of the fifth demon king." Sebastiene started combing my hair. "The third son was supposed to be the next king. He was strong and calm, he was also smart, but has one flaw. He was too kind that he even begged his father to let him help investigate the missing lycans and ended up getting caught, like what Loki said."
"Loki, feeling like it was his fault, did not return to their territory even when he was summoned back and continued to search for his brother alone. Thus he was branded as the Lone wolf." Sebastiene explained in a short way.
"Is being kind a flaw to the demon kind?" I asked.
"It is, my lady." Sebastiene nodded. "We demons have to be strong and merciless for we are the strongest race and are always at war with one race or another. The lycans are known to be strongest and most merciless among all demons clans. They also have the largest territory and are known for keeping to themselves, thus semi-demons with lycan blood are close to zero."
"Semi-demons?" I sat straighter, making my silver hair cascade behind me like a waterfall under the full moon.
"Half-demon and half other races, humans usually, also exist my lady. They are stronger than humans but are, more so than not, flawed."
I frowned.
"It is normal for mixed blood, my lady, there would be a part that does not exist to demons. For example, a full blooded demon will have passive healing powers and long lifespan. A halfling will most likely live shorter. A pure blood might have a hard time having children but would definitely have some, but a halfling will always be born barren." Sebastiene explained casually.
"How many demon kind are there?" I threw my head back a little so he could also comb near my forehead and stared at the ceiling.
"Do you mean demon clans, my lady?" I could sense Sebastiene was smiling based on the tone of his voice. "There are quite a number actually, Hebi clan or the demon snakes, my clan. The lycans who keeps to themselves, the mermen who are the waterbearers, the cubus who are known to have no flaws when it comes to beauty, and the Greens who have lived peacefully with the humans. There are more but they have smaller numbers and are hard to find."
"Those mermen, they are mermaids right? Half-human, half-fish?" I asked with excitement. Seeing a mermaid was a dream of mine when I was younger, back on Earth.
"Yes, my lady." Sebastiene chuckled softly at my excitement. "But despite the beliefs, the mermen can actually turn into human form only when they reach five hundred years old. The stories going around about drinking a potion from a sea witch to turn their tales into legs are a bunch of lies."
"Do you know where they live Seb?"
"Of course." Seb answered as he wiped the tips of my hair with a towel. "We can visit them sometimes, since they live close to the southern part of Westreon."
"Okay." I nodded earnestly. I know my sisters would love to see mermaids. "What about those Cusbus?"
"It' Cubus, my lady." Sebastiene corrected me. "They are a clan well-known for their beauty, both men and women. Men are called incubus, while women are called succubus. They are also famed for what they love to eat."
Based on the names he mentioned, I could already think of those lusty demons depicted in horror stories I read back on earth.
I didn't want to ask but sensing the excitement radiating from Sebastiene I gave in.
"What do they eat?" I asked as innocently as possible.
"It is pleasure, my lady." Sebastiene answered with glee. "But you are still too young to understand it. I will tell you when you are older and able to comprehend more things about the world."
My eyebrow twitched at how he said it but I stopped myself since in his eyes, I am but a child.
"Then, can you tell me about their beauties Seb?" I changed the topic.
"Their beauties?" Sebastiene thought for a moment. "I guess the saying 'Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder' is the best description for it."
