When we arrived home, the first thing I did was to introduce Klaus to Athy. Anyone who will be a part of our house needs to go through her.
Now we are sitting inside Athy's study, with her staring at Klaus.
"Are you a girl or a boy?" She suddenly asked, taking Klaus by surprise.
"I am a boy, young lady." Klaus answered her, amused.
"Tell me about yourself, your ability, your hobbies, and past employment." Athy closed her hands on the table.
"Well, I am the second son of House Enin, Klaus Enin." Klause started. "My ability is observation and calculation. My hobbies are reading books, playing chess and reading the stars. I was a royal advisor for five years before being fired."
Athy raised her brow at him. She must be curious about him being a royal advisor while being so young.
"Fired?" Was what came out of her mouth instead.
"I got schemed on by a royal concubine, young lady." Klaus answered calmly.
"A royal advisor whose ability is observation and calculation fell to a scheme by some concubine?" Athy's brows furrowed. "How can we trust you to advise us when you even fell for a scheme? Was it even carefully laid and calculated?"
"No, young lady." Klaus answered. His face was red from embarrassment.
"Then tell me why we should hire you as our advisor when you clearly aren't that smart?" Athy looked at him in all seriousness.
Klaus's face was dark as he looked down. I guess he can't accept being doubted by a a cute five year old.
"Athy, Klaus will be my advisor." I cleared. "But you guys can borrow him until you find your own."
"Are you sure about him, big sister?" Athy whispered childishly, her eyes wide and her han covering her mouth.
"Of course." I nodded in all seriousness and looked at Klaus who was fumbling his hands.
"My sister trusts you." Athy said looking at him sharply.
"She does, young lady." Klaus looked up, his eyes were lined red and his face was flushed.
Athy and I were startled by his appearance.
"Are you crying?!" Athy asked, flustered.
"N-no, young lady." Klaus answered shaking his head and waving his hand in front of him. "I-I'm just.."
Klaus's face reddened even more and he suddenly stood up, ran to the open window and sneezed loudly.
Athy and I looked at each other.
"Are you okay Sir Klaus?" I stood up but Klaus raised his hand to stop me.
"I apologize young ladies, but do you have a pet dog?" He asked with watery eyes.
"No, we do not." I answered. "Why?"
"I'm highly allergic to dog fur, and something in this room triggered my allergy." Klaus explained before sneezing consecutively.
"Does Kaido shed fur, Athy?" I asked her.
"No." Athy frowned. "Kaido's fur is made of eternal flame, so it's basically not fur and will not shed."
We glanced at Klaus who is still sneezing.
"Haaaa.." Athy sighed tiredly. "You keep him first sister, I think I'm having a headache."
"Okay." I nodded at her before motioning to Klaus to follow me.
We went out and Klaus closed the door behind us.
"Young lady, if I may ask, is the youngest lady the head of the house?" He asked hesitantly.
I chuckled at his question.
"Sort of." I smiled. "Athy is in charge of all internal affairs. Everything that happens inside the territory is her jurisdiction."
"But, she is still a child?"
"Do not underestimate Athy. She was taught by all the best."
I didn't lie, Athy was taught by the best. She was taught by a demon king, Srbastiene, the best businessmen and women and geniuses who had died. Her ability to summon spirits help her with her job, but I still want to get her a living advisor.
Klaus stared at me, confused.
"You'll understand once you meet them." I smirked. "Anyway, would you like to stay in the castle or outside?"
"Huh?" He turned to me with a puzzled look.
"We have a knight's residence or you can go home and just come for work." I explained.
"I am allowed to go home?" He asked.
"Of course." I looked at him, my brows slightly furrowed. "You will be given a permit to use the portal for faster travel."
Klaus face was flushed and his eyes were filled with tears. He hung his head and cried quietly.
"T-thank you, young lady." He choked out.
"No need to cry." I frowned to hide my fluster.
Just in time, Sebastiene came walking towards us.
"Seb, take Klaus and fill him in about our house." I immediately passed the crying Klaus to him. He looked at me bewildered but still managed to nod his head..
"If you have any questions, ask him." I pointed to Sebastiene. "He knows almost everything around here."
I walked away from them as soon as I finished. Both men bowed to me.
'Now, what should I do before dinner?'
