Sebastiene followed Sir Ajax with his eyes, a playful smile dancing on his lips.
"Have you met him before Seb?" I asked.
"When he was much younger, my lady." Sebastiene replied.
I looked at Sebastiene, he was not the type to lie to me. He must have actually met Sir Ajax when he was younger. That could be the reason why Sir Ajax finds him somewhat familiar.
"So how do we find where the others are, my lady?" Sebastiene changed the subject.
"Easy." I smirked and pointed at him. "Have my butler find them. If he doesn't know where they are, that is."
Sebastiene looked at me, obviously confused, sighed and then he chuckled while using his hand to scrub is eye.
"Of course, my lady." He chuckled. "They are at a dress boutique a few blocks from here."
"That far?" I frowned.
"It's not really far, about five minutes' walk from here." He smiled.
I frowned deeper.
"Let's go." I motioned for everyone to move.
As we walked along the streets, a lot of people looked my way. Some with shocked expressions, some with gasps of surprise and others with awe and curiosity. Maybe it was because of the knights with me, or Sebastiene, or the siblings, or my silver hair and purple eyes, but they stared all the same. It did not bother me non-the less. I couldn't care less anyway.
We arrived at the boutique Sebastiene mentioned, true enough, mother and my sisters were inside with Marionne.
"Where's father?" I asked looking around.
"Oh, you're here." Mother smiled as she looked at me before spotting the two behind me. "Who's this?"
"Newly hired." I shrugged and introduced them. "These are Aspez and Elaheh."
"They were the ones who were eloping right?" Athy chimed in.
Her remark made Aspez and Elaheh looked at each other and smiled awkwardly.
"They are actually siblings." I corrected her.
"Oh..?" Athy went to them and looked them up and down before turning back to me and asked. "What position did you hire them for?"
"That.." I pursed my lips while thinking.
"You did not even think about it, did you?" Athy smiled coldly.
"You are the one who will assign them anyways." I shrugged and followed the dress lady to the other room to take my measurements.
Athy sighed and looked up to the two.
She frowned and looked towards Sebastiene, she frowned even more.
"Marionne, carry me." She ordered the general.
Marionne did as she asked and carried her like how Anderson usually carries her.
She looked at the siblings again, this time at almost eye level.
"What can you do?" She asked.
The two looked at each other before answering.
"We are cooks, my lady." The answered.
Uriel also walked towards them.
"Are you good at cooking?" Athy asked.
"Yes, my lady." Aspez answered confidently.
"HmMm.." Athy nodded.
I finished being measured from another room and came back where they were.
"What are your abilities?" Uriel asked.
Elaheh held Aspez's hand tighter.
"We both have the ability to control plants and the knowledge of their uses, my lady." Aspez answered. Elaheh had her head down the entire time.
"Both of you have the same ability?" Marionne frowned.
"Yes ma'am." Aspez answered.
"You, Elhelah?" Athy pointed at the quiet girl.
"It's Elaheh, my lady." Aspez corrected her.
"I'm not asking you." Athy said coldly, making Aspez swallow hard.
"Y-yes, my lady?" Elaheh answered looking at Athy.
"Is your ability really the same as your brother's?" She asked.
"Yes, my lady." She answered.
"But?" Athy tilted her head and stared at her sharply. Her question taking both siblings by surprise.
"I am also proficient in making poisons and can immediately tell when one is near." Elaheh moved closer to Aspez.
"HmMm.." Athy nodded before looking at me coldly. She was obviously berating me in her mind. I rolled my eyes and smiled innocently.
"If you know poison, then you must know how to make antidotes to poisons, right?" Athy asked calmly.
"Yes, my lady." Elaheh answered.
Athy smiled and an excited glint could be seen in her eyes.
'Did she want to learn medicine?' I thought to myself. 'Nahh.. She most probably want to poison someone.'
"You are both hired." Athy said and motioned for Marionne to put her down.
I looked at my sister who walked calmly towards us and sat down on the sofa.
"T-thank you, my lady." Aspez and Elaheh bowed down after going out of their daze.
"You hired both of them as cooks?" Mother asked her.
Athy shook her head. "Aspez will be a cook. Elaheh will be my maid in waiting."
Aspez and Elaheh's eyes both went wide at what she said and thanked her again.
The dress lady that was watching us stared at Athy.
We continued to have our sizes measured and choose different designs from the catalogue. After we finished choosing from this store, we went to three other dress shops to order clothes. Mother still haven't chosen a dress for her tea party until lunch came.
We settled in another restaurant and the owner almost had a heart attack when he saw us. He took us to the best room they had and arranged two tables inside, one for us and another one for the knights and the maids. We ordered all the food from there too. Father arrived after a while with the other knights who were happily chatting with him about weapons.
"Did you buy another sword?" I asked him.
"No." He chuckled as he sat down beside mother. A maid gave him a warm towel to wipe his hands. "I had ordered a dagger."
"A dagger?" I looked at him excitedly. "Where? Let me see."
"I haven't gotten it yet. It is a made to order and mine was even engraved with my name." Father said proudly."
Our talk was interrupted by the arrival of the food. We talked happily and even the knights and the servants chimed in. There was harmony inside our room.
