Athy actually cancelled the summoning right in front of Sidapa's face. I couldn't help but laugh. Athy is really savage, even a god cannot do anything to change it.
"Athy, how are you feeling?" I asked her as I sat on the edge of the bed.
"Like I was mauled by Kaido." She replied sarcastically.
"Will you be able to join us for lunch later? Mother has been asking for you." I told her.
Her eyes were like lemons hearing about our parents.
"What did you tell mother and father?" She asked worry evident on her face.
"That you were having one of your tantrums and won't come out of your room for yesterday. Today, I told them you were sleeping to recharge yourself." I explained.
"Okay.." She heaved a sigh of relief. "Mother gets all nervous whenever we get sick. Imagine if she knows what happened to me? She will surely faint from shock!"
"True." Uriel chirped in from the sofa and we laughed.
"Saintess Sachi, saintess Karen," Athy called. "thank you for healing me."
Athy smiled at them.
Both saintesses smiled back and bowed slightly.
"By the way," She turned to me. "Why are all saintesses here?"
"They were invited to the ceremony." I replied. "Also, Saintess Karen helped with the wounded after the atracks."
"What happened to the ceremony?" Athy frowned. "Just tell me everything that happened after I fell asleep."
I started to recount all that happened yesterday, the ceremony, the uninvited guests, the attacks and the meeting with the generals. Uriel and the saintesses chirped in here and there for references. Athy listened intently as her face went black.
"Saintesses, will you please be so kind as to give us a moment?"Uriel smiled at them.
The saintesses sensing that Athy needed time alone, left us. Uriel sat beside Athy on the bed.
"My arrogance completely destroyed our plans.." She said, her face full of regret. "And when you needed me most, I was in a coma and had to be protected."
"Don't worry about it." Uriel comforted her. "Mel took care of everything."
"And even if you were awake, I wouldn't have let you or Uriel use your abilities." I added.
"Why?" They both asked is surprise.
"There were too many eyes. I woudn't want our real strength to be known to the outside this early." I explained.
Athy pondered for a bit before nodding.
"I understand your intentions. I'll stay hidden until you need me." She declared.
"But don't stop training." I reminded her. "We may be strong but we can never be too sure."
Athy and Uriel nodded.
"By the way Athy, do you know of a darkness worse than Sidapa?" I asked her.
Athy furrowed her brows at me before shaking her head.
"Why?" She asked. "Isn't that idiot enough?"
"No, stupid." I let out an exhausted sigh. "When you lost consciousness after thrashing that spirit, Sidapa warned me about a darkness that was worse than him."
"I do not know." Athy frowed. "Can you tell me his exact words?"
"Well, he said that you should be careful of using your abilities or you might awaken a darkness worse than him."
Athy shook her head. Her purple eyes filled with confusion.
"I really have no idea what he meant by it." She stated.
Uriel frowned.
"When did he say that?" She asked.
"When you brought Athy back to her room. I stayed back to ask him for any way to help Athy. He left that warning instead." I told her.
We were in deep thought when I recalled something.
Sebastiene!
He did say he might know it!
"What is it?" Uriel asked when she saw me in realization.
"I remember that Seb said he might know something about it." I answered her with excitement.
Sebastiene is our only lead for it.
But..
Where could that idiot be right now?
In a candle-lit room, sounds of heavy panting and moans could be heard. A dark robed man was sitting in a chair, a beautiful black haired woman was standing on his side and another short haired ginger was lying on the floor with her head on his lap. His face was covered by the curtain. He was looking at the man kneeling in front of him in a hooded robe..
"So you failed Arvero?" The dark robed man spoke coldly.
"A-apologies my L-lord." The man kneeling on the ground shook in fear. "I d-didn't expect them to be this strong."
"Which means that you failed!" The dark robed man yelled.
"D-don't be angered my l-lord, I only sent them the weakest ones. I-I can be sure of victory on the next attack." The man kneeling on the ground looked up showing a sewn on skin around his right eye.
"You better not fail the next time or you know what will happen." The dark robed man warned. "Go! Do not disturb me anymore unless you have good news."
"Y-yes my lord." He answered and stood up. The hooded man walked to the door weirdly, like a penguin.
When the hooded man had left, the dark robed man poured himself a glass of wine from the table beside him.
"Soon.." He caressed the ginger girl on his lap making her bunny ears stand in alert. " House Castellan will cease to exist."
Maniacal laughter soon filled the candle-lit room followed by moans of pleasure.
