I looked at their confused faces.
"The second demon beast that came out of the portal was a wolf with electricity running down its body, remember?" I tried to remind them.
"Ah!" Haktor exclaimed then frowned. "Yes, there was. I didn't notice it though."
"It must be with the other bodies, my lady." Marionne said.
"What did they do to the bodies?" O asked.
"They piled them in a pit behind the training ground."Haktor answered. "We are still waiting for your orders on what to do with them."
"I thought I told you to clean it up?" I raised my eyebrow slightly at Sebastiene.
"I thought you might want to use those bodies my lady." He smiled. "Leather is quite expensive."
"True.." Father said casually making me look at him. "Demon beast bodies could be used for many things and one of it us leather."
"Some demon beasts parts are also used to make weapons." Haktor nodded in agreement.
"Okay.." I closed my eyes as I agreed to them.
I remembered about the leather part.
"When you find that wolf's body, do not destroy it. I want that. Okay?" I instructed them.
"Yes my lady." Sebastiene bowed.
"Is there anything else you'd like to report?" Father asked.
"None, Your grace." Haktor and Marionne replied.
"I see." Father nodded before looking at me.
"Tell the knights to be in the training grounds tomorrow morning. We will be doing a thorough check on every corner of the castle and the whole estate." I instructed them. "We also need to create a stronger barrier."
"I'll inform Sir Anderson about it, lady." Sebastiene smiled.
"You may go back for today." I told the generals. "I'll see the both of you tomorrow."
The generals bowed down and left the room. Sebastiene also left to check inform Anderson.
"Pa, are you okay?" I looked at my father.
"I'm fine. It just feels weird to see monsters." He answered. "Even more so, fighting them."
"You did good with fighting them earlier though." I praised him. "I guess training with Alvera was a good idea."
"Ahhh.. That's true." Father smiled awkwardly. His face, black.
We made father train with Alvera in secret. As the Archduke, he should be able to protect himself at the very least. We cannot let others know that he has no abilities. The only way for that to happen is to let him 'borrow' our abilities.
He did recieve the knowledge and memory of the archduke but the swordsmanship was of low quality. Alvera's way of teaching and her techniques can be considered top notch. Unfortunately, Alvera is a strict teacher and won't even cut some slack for father. This made father rather frustated.
"By the way father, the saintesses are staying here for the night." I informed him. "I already asked someone to prepare a room for them. Saintess Karen, Parsua's saintess is helping at the infirmary. She's a healer. I'll introduce them to you in the morning."
"Hmmm.." Father just nodded as he stroke his chin. "What about your sisters?"
"What about them?" I calmly. I was actually very worried that they would find out that Athy was in a coma-like state.
"They didn't come out to help during the attack." Father' brows furrowed.
"Athy was having one of her tantrums." I rolled my eyes. "You know how she is."
Father sighed. "I was just thinking that Athy's spirits could have been a big help then."
"You spoilt her too much that now we can't even scold her for it." I shrugged.
"Haaaa.." Another sigh. "I'll go back to rest. Your mother won't be able to sleep from worry."
Father stood up and I did so too. I gave him a side hug and bid him goodnight.
I sat behind my desk to wait for Sebastiene, tapping my finger on the desk while pondering about things. I was thinking of ways to create a very strong barrier, one that could withstand any attacks. If and attack happens, the people can come to the castle to seek for protection. 4A barrier for protection but also for keeping enemies within the estate if a portal actually opens inside again.
But how?
Seb and Anderson couldn't possibly make one as strong as I want.
I also want to be the one to create it. That is the only way for me to be satisfied.
"Haaaa.." I sighed. "This is difficult."
After a while, Sebastine came back with a dazzling smile.
"My lady, the saintesses have been escorted to their respective rooms." He informed me with a brilliant smile.
"Okay." I looked at him suspiciously. "What?"
"Nothing, my lady." He said suppressing another smile.
"Fine." I covered my mouth to yawn.
"Let's go back to Athy's room." I said standing up. "I'm tired and I want to check on my sister."
Sebastiene bowed and walked me to Athy's room where my sisters were sleeping. He was obviously trying to suppress his smile all the way. It irked me but I did not pry into it further.
When we arrived at Athy's room, Sebastiene bowed to me as I opened the door. I went in without looking back. I could hear his footsteps moving away.
Sigh.
I went near the bed to check on sisters, they were both asleep. I washed myself and climbed up the bed to retire for the night.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Soft knocks from the door followed by Sebastiene's voice.
"My lady, I brought you warm milk to help you sleep better." He said.
"Come in." I whispered lightly. I know he will be able to hear it though.
Sebastiene came in carrying a tray with two glasses, one with warm milk, and the other with water. He handed me the milk and placed the water on the side table.
"Thank you Seb. If there is nothing else, you may rest for the night." I told him.
Seb bowed down and bid me goodnight before closing the door behind him.
I slept well that night.
