House Castellan's main hall was filled with lively music and loud chatters. The maids scurry around carrying trays filled with food to replace the empty ones, wipe towels, wines, glasses and everything that needs to be replaced.
I sat in front of the vanity mirror in my room staring at my reflection. My silver hair tied up in a high ponytail with flowers and amethysts adorning it. My face was washed and powdered by one of Uriel's maids that she tasked to help me. Besides powder, she did not put anything else because I did not allow it. With this face, I doubt I will ever be called ugly by anyone. Even when I do not wear make up I would still look pretty.
I wore a purple long sleeved dress that has frills on the skirt and a big ribbon behind. Amethysts and purple rhinestones are embedded unto the bodice making it glimmer. With the amount of rocks on my dress, I opted to only wear a pair of lavender pearl earrings. My silver low heeled shoes cannot be seen because of the long skirt.
After helping me change and get ready, I told the maid she can leave as Sebastiene will assist me when he comes. The maid, Larissa, bowed down before she left to go back to Uriel.
I was still gazing at my face in the murror when I heard a knock that made me turn my head towards the door.
"My lady," The sound of Sebastiene's voice followed. "may I come in?"
"Yes, come in Sebastiene." I replied.
Sebastiene came in rather well dressed. His black hair was neatly brushed and tied into a high ponytail with braids on the sides. His handsome face was bare for everyone to see. His red irises looked like they were rubies instead of eyes.
He was wearing a Knights formal uniform which was an all black ensemble with purple linings. The cape which also covered the right arm is black on the outside but the inside part was purple velvet making the purple change color depending on the lighting. The moon brooch was pinned on the left breast pocket. He was also wearing black gloves on his hands.
"Hmmmm.." I looked him up and down. "Something is missing with your outfit."
"Oh?" Sebastiene looked round his body, checking if he missed something before looking at me confused. "I'm pretty sure I wore all the things that was sent to my room."
I frowned as I stared at him.
"Where is your sword?" I asked him.
"Hmmm?" Sebastiene smiled at me. "My sword is quite something, I cannot take it out casually."
"What do you mean?" I raised my brow at him.
"The sword I own is one of the six weapons forged by the god of death, Lord Sidapa." He answered.
"So?" I questioned.
"Anyone who is not appointed by him cannot own his weapons, but some people still desires for it." Sebastiene sighed, annoyance clearly laced his voice. "They always try to steal it whenever they see a god forged weapon. Even when they know that they'll end up dead anyways. That is the reason why I don't show my sword, it attracts too many flies."
"I see. I would also be annoyed if someone would actually come at me just to steal my sword." I nidded in understanding. "Those six weapons, I wonder if Athy's scythe is one of those?"
"Yes, my lady." He replied as he took out a pair of black lace gloves on my drawr. "Lady Athanasia's scythe is named Heyva Sor. It is not only pretty, it is also one of the worst weapons there is."
Heyva Sor.
Crescent Rose.
"A very pretty name." I looked at him. "Show me your sword. I want to see it."
Sebastiene was startled by my request but he nevertheless smiled and summoned his weapon.
It was a claymore. A huge ass claymore that can only be wielded with both hands. It was long and thick with a black blade and red handle. Black smoke could be seen seeping out from it.
"This is Dark Curse, my lady." Sebastiene held the sword up with his left hand, it only shows how physically strong he is. "The sword handed to me personally by Lord Sidapa when I was chosen as the first Demon King."
"Dark Curse, it's a beautiful name." I whispered looking at the sword.
Dmoke kept coming out of the blade and immediately disperse in the air. I turned to Sebastiene with a frown. "But what the hell is that smoke coming out from it?"
Sebastiene chuckled.
"What you are seeing is not smoke, my lady." He explained. "That is the curse of the sword. Whoever gets wounded by it, no matter how small, shall be cursed and will surely die a slow and painful death. Thus the name Dark Curse."
I looked at the sword in his hand.
"Even me?" I asked.
Sebastiene was stunned by my question. He thought for a few moments before answering.
"I honestly don't know my lady." His brows furrowed a little as he looked at his sword. "I have never wounded a Castellan before. I don't know if the curse would affect a blessed person even more, a vessel of the gods and goddesses."
"Hmmm.. I see.." I nodded.
Sebastiene cancelled his summon for Dark curse and the sword disappeared in a puff of black smoke.
"It is almost time for you to go down my lady." Sebastiene reminded me as he looked at his pocket watch.
"I know but you still need a sword."I told him as I started to rummage my mind for any sword that I could give him.
Sebastiene stood there looking at me curiously.
"I know!" I smiled as I pointed to a treasure chest under the bed. "There is a sword inside, use it."
Sebastiene got the chest out from under the bed and opened it. Inside, lying unused with the other treasures I used as toys, laid a sword made of black steel inlaid with different precious stones. It was pretty but not really as amazing as the swords given by the gods and goddesses.
Sebastiene unsheathed the blade and started swinging it around. He then looked at it weirdly before putting it back in its sheath and securing it on his belt.
"Now your outfit looks complete." I nodded as I looked at him.
"Thank you my lady." He kneeled down in front of me and put on the lace glove for me. "Now we should head down, the banquet will not start until the Castillans show themselves."
I smiled at him. He is really into his role as my butler.
"Shall we?" I said and he gave me his arm to help me up and escort me to the main hall.
