Adanna
Sixty seconds turned to a few minutes and a few minutes into an hour once that was over I'd slept through the whole class.
It was my last subject for the day so that means that school was over, well that was a waste of time I guess I could just borrow notes, but from who? It's probably best if I just go through my textbook and figure things out on my own.
I had a driver assigned to me by uncle Mason this morning so I didn't have to worry about how to get back to his house. But he was only allowed to take me to school and bring me back when Uncle Mason was not in need of his services. So basically he was my borrowed driver.
My mind drifted off to our conversation earlier this morning. I had just got out of bed before doing my morning rituals getting dressed and heading down to find something to eat before I figured out how to get to school on time.
There he was at the head of the table reading a newspaper dressed sharply in a crisp navy blue suit that was definitely expensive.
He furrowed his brows at my impassive stance.
"Do you plan on staying there all day?" He asked taping his fingers on the wooden table. His slender perfectly manicured fingers and of course, no wedding ring.
"N-No" I stuttered out making my way deeper into the room. Was I scared of him? No was I scared of what he could do? Yes.
"How have you been?" I tried my best to overlook the hostility in his voice, he wasn't genuinely curious, it was simply out of courtesy.
"I've been--." I began
"That's nice, I've made some arrangements for your transportation in the mean time you can do as you see fit, if you are in need of anything else do well to seek Mary, she will also give you a tour of the house and as well point out the restricted areas, I'm a very busy man so I'm sure we can figure out a way to compensate for lost time, until then have a nice day at school"
He glanced at his watch rising to his feet with his briefcase in hand he made his way out.
Well, he was definitely a breath of fresh air.
I couldn't help but wonder if he was always so rigid and strict with everyone including his son.
And as well how a man like him could engage in extra marital affairs. It was obvious that Aunt Myra wasn't Ikenna's real mother that part was covered but uncle Mason was Ikenna's Father and they've been married for as long as I can remember.
So he was definitely the product of an affair but who exactly was the third party?
The black glossy exterior of the BMW wasn't the only thing that caught my attention no the middle aged woman in a grey floral dress did as well.
What was she doing here? What exactly did she want now?
"What's going on?" I glumly stated in no mood for the unnecessary drama that just seemed to follow her around
"And good afternoon to you too"she muttered sarcastically pulling off her shades like some undercover celebrity.
"What are you doing here" I asked making no attempt to try and mask my annoyance.
"Is it so horrible for me to want to spend time with you?"
"That is time not very well spent"
"You're still Angry" she said her lips tilting downwards into a frown.
"I said I was sorry"
"You re apologising to the wrong person"
"Have you told her?"
"No, but I definitely will" pressing her lips together she tilted her head a bit to the side deep in thought.
"Come on, let's go get ice cream then we'll head to the studio I have something to show you" she said gesturing towards the car.
I crossed my arms over my chest glancing between her and the car before finally giving in.
"Okay"
The ride to the shop was pretty quick, at least there was something to be grateful for.
I needed to wee a few minutes more and I was gonna blow. The bell at the top of the door jingled,She pushed it open making her way towards the counter to order while I rushed towards the bathroom.
Why is it so far away, I barged into the first stall. For a shop as old as this one it was well maintained.
"Finally" I breathed out zipping up. That feeling of relief that came with this kinda territory.
Footsteps , probably another customer or even my Aunt Myra. Maybe she thought I was trying to escape. If only I could.
A warm hand cupped my mouth from behind.
Definitely not my Aunt Myra. I blindly felt my way up his arm trying to figure out who he was. All I could tell was that he was ripped.
"Don't fight me, don't yell don't struggle just breathe" he whispered pushing me into one of the empty stalls.
"If I let go you won't scream, yeah?" Did he really expect me to say yes? Of course I was gonna scream. I'm not dumb enough to not scream.
I felt it, the cool sensation of the edge of the blade against my bare skin.
"Nod once if you understant and if you're willing to obey, Nod twice if you have a death wish" he whispered harshly into my right ear.
I slowly nodded once, he pulled his arm and the blade away turning me to face him.
"Chris" I breathed out in disbelief.
"Hey" he smiled flashing me his pearly whites pulling me closer. Chris was a lot of things but ugly wasn't one of them. This wasn't the first time I had seen him up close but this was the first time he had genuinely smiled at me.
It took a while to digest his flattering features, he was toned from head to toe
Sporting a full sleeve of tattoos that were peeking out from the vest he wore.
He was your typical bad boy which made me wonder what the heck he wanted from me.If he wasn't so much of a thug I would've said yes to him a long time ago.
Yup that was definitely the only reason why I wasn't attracted to him.
"I missed you" he said pulling me in for a tight hug. Even I could sniff the lie oozing from his words.
Pulling away
"Where were you, for an entire month?" He questioned squeezing my sides.
"London" I wasn't ready for a Q&A session in a restroom stall while my Aunt was waiting for me at our table.
"London" he repeated running his knuckle down my left cheek
"With who?" This wasn't a rhetorical question but I'm sure he knew the answer to his own question already so why bother?
"With. Who" he gritted out tightening his hold on me.
"My Mum and siblings" I answered quickly it was starting to hurt a lot more than I anticipated.
"And?"
"No one else"
"And?"
"No one else" I gritted out
He pulled at my braids, tugging harshly at the strands.
"Who is he to you? That you're willing to lie to me just to protect him"
"Tell me one thing" he continued scanning every inch of my face.
"Do you love him? because he's dead either way" love.. such a strong word.
"He's your friend" I think
"I don't care!" He yelled chuckling I flinched backwards cowering away.
"I don't love him" I mumbled under my breath.
"But you love me don't you?" he whispered, his hot breath fanning the side of my face. His amused tone irked me, he thought teasing me was funny?.
"Don't you?" He questioned slamming my back against the wall behind me.
"Please Ch--"
He slammed his lips down on mine in, shushing me. His hands aggressively roamed my body pulling me impossibly closer.
I banged my fists on his chest trying to push him away but he just pulled me closer continuing his assault. The lack of oxygen was starting to get to me, I felt dizzy pushing him away one last time he finally budged stepping away. Chuckling he exited the stall. The lightheadedness passed once he was out of sight.
All the stalls were empty, I don't know how long I was in there with him but seriously no one came in?
I stared at my reflection in the mirror. My lips were swollen, the tingling sensation wasn't going away anytime soon.
My hair was a mess, my skin pale and my eyes glossy.
