"Well I want you to make an alliance with Jiang Han. Make sure to protect him as he has been missing for quite awhile now. Am I right Mr Crimson Slayer."
Everyone in the room who didn't know his identity gasped. I chuckle and nudge at his rib as I wiggle a brow before winking.
He turns to me, surprise filtering through his face. A charming smile formed on his extremely handsome face.
"Thank you.."
"No problem, you reunited me with my son. I could not be more grateful."
The emperor stroked his silver beard in contemplation before nodding.
"Make it a deal. It will also benefit us in the future since my son is about the same age as him."
I smile and bow.
"Thank you. I am indebted to you your majesty."
He laughed heartily waving his hand.
"No need to thank me. We are mutual. Feel free to stay at the palace as long as you want. I'll arrange a room for you both."
I nod, looking down at the squirming child in my arms. His eyes looked like an endless ocean of stars. The glistened gorgeously in the sunlight, like precious jewels.
I hugged the child resting in my arms. Snuggled into my chest, hanging on as if his life depended on it.
Little Bun Bai(nickname) snuggled in,
"You're the only person I know that gives indefinite hugs." He breathed in the familiar scent he missed so much. It smelt of cherry blossoms.
I chuckled staring down at him lovingly.
"Well, love, where else would I rather be?" In that moment the arms squeezed a fraction tighter and Bai breathed more slowly, his body melting into his mom's as every muscle lost its tension to the spring air.
This was life, real life.
A sweet and innocent reunion.
I chuckled at the sight of my adorable son. Lifting his hair on his forehead before planting a gentle and loving kiss. My heart melted at his smile. I was squealing internally.
My son is to cute!
The way his lips lifted upward. The way his one dimple crinkles. The way his teeth are perfectly aligned. The warm glow his happiness gives. His smile is a ray of sunshine, and I am a sunburn. I lift his up and spin his around, planting kisses all over his face. I wanted to shower him in my affection.
All my love for my little ball of sunshine.
Fits of giggles escaped his lips cutely.
"Mama stop!"
He cried out.
The little bun looks like he's being jangled by invisible strings from above, only his puppeteer is drunk. The only thing I can make out beneath his moving hair is a smile that could light up any day, no matter how dark.
I couldn't help but tear at the familiar love. His smile made me happy to be alive even after everything. Now I understand what it's like to be a mom.
I pull him back into my chest, slowly rocking him back and forth. A yawn escaped his small plump lips.
Finally he's back in my arms.
"Go to sleep my little bun bun. Mama's right here."
He nodded in a daze before whispering.
"Can you sing me the song you used to?"
I smile tenderly and cover his eyes with mine.
"Of course, anything for you bao bao."
---------------
The duo seem to have forgotten they were still in the palace where they had gathered.
Everyone simply listened attentively to the pair of mother and son.
Not daring tot interrupt again.
From the palace doors a strikingly handsome male sauntered in. His golden robes billowing behind him like a majestic cape, one fit for royalty.
He seem to be like a proud stallion, his head held high bt his eyes held and unspoken softness.
He paced across the room in even strides, his feet gently pounding on the floor. The crown prince was a strong man, muscular yet lean. His robes hung to his body loosely, his hair tied up into a neat pony tail. His long fingers ran through his short and wavy brown hair which shifted back into place once his hand had gone past.
The light coming from the windows made it shine to a shade of melting milk chocolate and his slightly tanned skin glowed. The man's high cheekbones, perfectly accentuated his face, and his full pink lips were pressed firmly together in a flustered expression.
His eyes, which were normally a simple sepia color, were now a golden honey hue and seemed to be screaming out his emotions.
His eyes trailed to the long male singing quietly.
His voice was smooth and clear and quiet yet powerful. Soothing, in a way it was beauitfula dn entrancing. Lulling one to sleep. It made one want it to never end. His voice rolled over the hills in sorrowful waves. Swells of power rose up in his throat.
His voice was music, and grace. His voice returned to a soft humming from the silver haired ger.
His hum has a happiness; there's something carefree about the notes as they fall into the cool air about him. He looked down at the child in his eyes smile fondly. Whispering sweet nothings as he kissed the child lovingly.
"Good night~ Have sweet dreams my precious."
The sweet words resonated throughout the large palace room and entered into the enraptured audiences ears.
The male halted his steps.
"Ying is that really you."
The ears of the gorgeous male perked at the deep melodic voice.
The cool breeze billowed around the hem of his robe. With silver hair of wool and his head held high, he turned on his heel and waltzed on with an effortless saunter.
The clicking of his heels added rhythm to each step. His eyes scanned the room in search of someone when his eyes met mine his and he smile brilliantly. So beautiful it was like the stars themselves, decided to rest behind the soft cushion of his lips.
"Nice to see you again Wang."
They stood in front of each other. Staring deeply into each other's eyes.
The larger male engulfed the smaller one in a tight hug as a shaky sigh left his lips and a lone tear traced his cheek.
"I missed you so much. I was so worried about what had happen. I wouldn't have been able to forgive myself if you...."
A yelp escaped the platinum eyes male. The ger was surprised as he was pulled closer to the other, arms wrapping him. His embrace was warm, and his big, strong arms seemed very protective when wrapped around the shorter male's frail body.
The world around them melted away as he squeezed him back, not wanting the moment to end. The ger chuckled and hugged him back reassuringly.
"I'm back. I'm here aren't I?"
The pair chuckled.
Jiang behind them coughing, jealousy evident in his eyes.
"Someone's jealous~"
Ying teased wiggling an eyebrow.
Jiang kept his stare began laughing and everyone else joining in.
"In all seriousness It's great to see you again. It seems you stolen some of my heart."
"Aren't you a flirt."
"I'm not joking."
The silver eyes male sighed helplessly a smile plastered on his lips. He stared down at his sleeping child. He just couldn't get enough of him.
I'll love him to death!
The male promised as a yawn escaped his lips.
"You should head to bed. You've had a long journey."
Ying chuckled.
"A long journey it was. But it isn't over."
The trio stared off into the distant where and eagle flew proudly.
What would the future hold?
A pair of arms wrapped securely around Ying.
"Sleep now."
Ying nodded in a daze, all the fatigue catching up to him. He held the child in his arms tighter.
The warmth of the other lulling him into a deep sleep.
"Good night."
"Good night my love."
The last words were spoken softly by said male as for the other to not here him.
