Lisa's POV
I didn't know how long I was staring into space while my tears flowed like waterfalls as I could feel the pain inside my heart. And then I screamed for a long time, and I could feel my throat dry as I continued to feel the pain in my heart. I remembered my father's words, which echoed in my head.
He even told me that he was willing to give up his life for me so I could live longer in this world. And now he passed away. I was waiting for my parents to come back to La Trinidad next week, and I didn't expect I would be coming home to San Antonio to attend the wake of my father.
"Condolence, Lisa," Beth said as she hugged me. She came right after I texted her about what happened to my father.
