"Celestina! Wake up!" I groaned in annoyance when Isabela shakes me all over again. I'm still sleepy, I sighed. I can't sleep because of too much nervousness. Did they even know my existence? Sh*t that thought made my mind suddenly alive.
I sit up suddenly when I remember what will happen today.
"What time is it now!" I exaggeratedly asked Isabela, I look at the bedside clock beside my table. It's just 8 am. I sighed out of relief, It's too early.
"Chill," Isabela said, laughing at me.
"It's not obvious that you're nervous" She sarcastically followed. I rolled my eyes at her and lay down again in the bed.
"It's too early, Isabela" I lazily said at her while closing my eyes, reaching for some sleepiness to come through.
"Where is Jea, by the way?"
"Helping in the kitchen" She answered my question.
"Will you help there too?" I peeked at her to see her reaction
"Yes, later," I nodded at her. I closed my eyes and sleep again.
I woke up around 10 am, foods are already arranged and placed on the table. Isabela and Jea are already sitting in the chair in front of the table while I fix myself.
"What time should we prepare?" I asked Jea.
"Around 2" Jea answered while starting to eat some food.
I nodded at her response and began eating too. Our brunch is packed with proteins and fruits. I love dipping strawberries in their own homemade yogurt. Their yogurt here is much creamier and it tastes sweet too.
"Why is your yogurt, sweet?" I asked them, weirded out.
"It is made from a special cow's milk, Celestina" Jea answered, she must know a lot about kitchen stuff and foods here.
I nodded at her and continue eating my food, I pick up two Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Roll-Ups and slowly eat it. Finishing up it up with some egg toast.
"Celestina, don't get out first. We will come back here once it's your time, you understand?"
"Yeah," I lazily said at them while sitting on the salmon-pink sofa in front of my bed. I'm reading some books.
"Bye!" I bid goodbye at them before continuing what I'm reading.
"Celestina, what do you prefer, this one? Or this one?" I looked at it and saw two beautiful dresses. White lace ruffled dress and a black and bodycon Little Black dress Sexy Club Gothic elegant ulzzang Mini A-Line Hollow Out V-Neck Autumn.
"The black one?" I answered.
She nodded and place the black dress on the bed. I took a bath that took much longer than normal. Jea is in charge of my makeup now. I asked for a natural look. I'm glad that she said yes to my request. Isabela is side braiding my hair on one side.
She placed pins too with flower designs in it. I wore a black wedge and got a black designer bag to match my outfit. I look in the mirror one more time before finally sitting at the end of my bed.
I look at the clock, 4;36 it said there. Although I am trembling in fear, I know I can slay this one. I'm used to attending parties so a fake smile and a non-nervous face is easy for me.
"What time are we going to go out?" I asked them, composing myself.
"Around 5" I nodded, they are wearing a knee-length strapless dress. Isabela is wearing a red one while Jea is wearing a maroon one.
"Celestina, remember what I told you earlier, don't talk to other people if not needed."
"Yes," I answered.
It's exactly 5 in the afternoon when we go out. The guards are wearing a gold outfit while the maids are wearing a maroon dress.
"That will be your table, Celestina" Jea pointed at the right side of this venue.
"You will go in there later, right?" I asked them, getting slightly nervous because I don't know anyone here.
"Yes, we will just check if they need any help" I nodded at their answer, They guided me at the table. I sit there comfortably, my head bow downed in the table
"Hi, miss," I suddenly heard a man's voice beside me
I looked up and saw a beautiful man standing straight in front of me. His jaw is perfectly aligned, his pointed nose and his blue hawk eyes match perfectly.
"Yes?" I answered, a fake smile plastered on my face.
"Do you have anyone accompanied you?" His deep voice almost made me tremble.
"Yes" I answered back in a cold voice. I remember what Jea said to me earlier. I shouldn't talk to strangers here.
"Where are they?" He asked again.
I'm starting to get irritated at this brute. Although he's handsome and all, I really don't like nosy people.
"Just doing something" I averted my gaze and just stare at the table, which is more interesting to look out now.
"Should I accompany you for now?" I inhaled deeply to prevent my eyes from rolling.
I felt him sitting beside me. I moved my seat silently to the right. I noticed him moving his chair as well. This brute is really testing my patience. I caressed my forehead and pray that Jea or Isabela gets back here now.
My eyes saw angels when I saw Jea and Isabela walking in my direction. I composed my posture and plastered a smile on my face. I saw the guy finally smiling after I stop getting away from him. I mentally smirk when I saw him, expecting something after I stood up. He was about to say something, but I cut him off.
"What took you so long?" I asked both of them. Jea is the first one to notice the man beside me. She raises her eyebrows and looks at him questioning. The guy got scared and left immediately after that. The three of us sit on our respective seats after.
"What took you so long?" I ask them again. They shook their head so I just shrugged my shoulders off as I listen to the party that is about to start We stand up from our seats when the speaker asks us to "Let us welcome, King Luciano together with his lovely wife, Queen Carolina"
The beating of my heart starts to get faster as I look at the person who is standing at the entrance.
