"Why~ exactly should I allow~ you to leave for the capital?" Roswaal tells me while seated. "Emilia and the business she has there is completely unrelated to you."
"I know this, however I wish to go anyway." I say before continuing. "I have no interest in Emilia's business there, I merely want to go and thank Reinhard for his help back then."
Roswaal hearing my words taps his finger on his desk and then replies. "Suburu, you are also my employee correct?"
"Yes, you are without a doubt both my boss and lord."
Hearing this reply, Roswaal just smirks. "Then why~ should I allow my employee with barely~ a week of work experience take a break so suddenly?"
Hearing his point, I also have the same smirk painted upon my face. "Then all I need to do is do a job of yours at the capital correct?"
Roswaal then leans back in his chair with an impressed expression. "My~, my~, how very thoughtful of you Suburu. If it's like that, then I suppose~ I can allow you to go."
"Thank you lord Roswaal."
And with a bow to show my gratitude I leave his office. And looking out a window as I walk I can't help but sigh as I make out an estimate of the time.
"Looks like I got to head to village."
...
"Oh! It's Suburu!"
Walking up to the village I am greeted by Petra.
"Evening Petra!" I say while I ruffle her hair with a slight smile on my face. "I'm not here for supplies today, just doing a quick check on the populace and any to see if any issues are present."
Petra then looks up at me with a confused expression before asking. "Populace? Can you eat that?"
Hearing her I can't help but laugh a bit before patting her head again. "The populace is the people in the village, the villagers here make up a populace of people."
"Oh! So is Suburu a part of the populace also?"
"Eeeer... I guess you could say that."
...
After speaking with the village head, I learned that everything is going fine according to him. Or at least it's nothing they can't handle at least.
I decided to a play a game or two with the children today as I had promised them while I was here yesterday.
And I didn't have my duel with Arthur today. Apparently he and his old man got into a argument on who could hunt the most wolgrams. They've apparently been at it since this morning and just got back an hour before my arrival.
Arthur won with a count of 8 wolgrams. His dad only got ahold of 5. But since they've been at it for so long, Arthur wasn't in the shape to spar with me.
However, I'm sitting here in my room going over this worlds language and stories. I also have a coin that I flip in between my knuckles every now and then between my off hand as I turn a page every now and then to continue my research.
*bang bang*
"Excuse me Suburu." Emilia's voice then comes through. "I was wondering if I could speak with you for a second about something."
"Sure I don't mind." I say while I flip to another page. "Also the door is unlocked."
Hearing me Emilia opens my door and looks at me sitting a my desk. Seeing this, she goes near me and sits on a area of my bed that closest to me.
"I've heard from Roswaal that your going with me to capital tomorrow." Emilia says before making a complicated face. "I was wondering why that was?"
Hearing this I finish reading this page of my book before calmly book marking and closing it with a soft bang. I then also put my coin down before turning my chair around to face Emilia.
"Has lord Roswaal told you about how I'm going there for work?"
Hearing me, Emilia nods. "Yes but I was just curious to if you had any other plans in the capital."
Hearing this I just answer her casually. "Yes, I also have some plans in the capital. However, it only involves me thanking the sword saint for his help, and I want to do a bit of browsing with the amount of money I've earned working here."
"Oh!" Emilia says while adopting a look of realization. "I also have to thank the sword saint as well, thank you for reminding me Suburu."
Understanding that she has gotten what she wanted, I turn around and decide to pick up a quill. I then grab two pieces of paper and set it in front of me.
"Goodnight Suburu."
Noticing my actions, Emilia realizes that it's time to go and steps out my door.
"Night Emilia."
*click*
Noticing the sound of my door being closed I focus on my paper and start to write a short summary of my day with my right hand. And once done with that I set it aside and focus on the second piece of paper.
I then switch my quill to my left hand and write a series of ideas I could probably apply for when I use my magic. When I was thrown into this body I hadn't developed any muscle memory.
So now I'm trying my hardest to use every part of my body naturally. This begins simply with both hands. This is so I don't develop a habit of unconsciously using my dominant side for every situation I find myself in.
I then take a look outside my bedroom window and notice the Moon staring back at me. Guess it's time to end this session for tonight.
