Chapter 12 - Chapter 11

"Magic

Miraclious wonder

Adored by the imagination

Greeted cheerfully by the heart

Impressed by the soul

Created by the dreams"

- a poem for today's chapter

The days of training passed normally. Sophie made many friends, and once they were having a break, she was going out with Axel for a walk, holding hands. This for them was the most wonderful thing in the world. They always smiled widely at each other filled with love.

Sometimes he taught her martial arts by standing behind her to guide her, which was making her blush every time and barely concentrate. Their relationship couldn't be a secret because from the first day everyone noticed the love between them. Some were happy for them, others were jealous, and others didn't care at all. Stefan was often watching her, and his eyes were sparkling with malice. No one could understand why. Even the most trusted of his group.

Enrique was very pleased with the development of the participants and constantly was giving them advice. There were only three days left until the official start of the Tournament. Now it was their turn to have a Potions Lesson.

"Just as you must know from your own experience: in addition to bending it is also very important to create potions. Through them, you can slow down your enemy, save yourself from a serious wound or be able to survive the insatiable famine. Some of you have already been to this Tournament even several times but as you know every year is completely different. I have explained to you for the first time what you are going to do but now I'm going to repeat everything to make sure you've memorized:

The whole tournament takes place in a big approximately virtual building with 7 rooms. Each of them overcomes an obstacle to go through. You need to find a way to the exit with a common effort. To the Chosen one it will be given a crystal, symbolizing the main task of the room. In the end, out of all 20 participants, only seven of them will be Chosen. They will not participate again next year and will become the Guardians. The Guardians are sent on missions and their task is to protect the Nations and everything alive. That's the goal of the tournament - to find the Chosen Ones. That's why it's very important.

Each room has different purposes and pre-performances. It can be unbearable heat, cold, dryness, flooding, war – it could be anything.

Potions will help you cope with these situations," Enrique explained. The explanation was very important for the participants.

As soon as he finished his speech, he showed how to create a healing potion, a potion that would stop their hunger and thirst, a potion against creatures of darkness. Besides them, Enrique explained to them how to summon their spirit-animal of the Light— it would save them from difficulties in the arena and would always be at their disposal in a time of danger.

For Sophie, everything sounded amazing. She was familiar with the potions because of the long workouts in her private school. Also, when her father was alive, he taught her to call upon the Book of Galaxies, the Royal book of magic and spells with instructional commands. It was a long time ago but even now she hadn't forgotten — the book often helped her a lot with her lessons.

Thanks to the long workouts for four days with almost no interruption, it helped to perfect her techniques. Once Enrique finished his lecture, she decided to continue. According to her mother, she had inherited it from her father – always being very stubborn and wanting to be even stronger and better with her skills.

The others also trained a lot: Iza was trying to perfect the bending of the Earth element, and in recent days they had almost no time to talk to each other.

Axel trained with his brother and tried to learn to create other weapons of fire beside his sword. Everyone trained very hard and Sophie was also keen to continue training.

Finally, this long workout is over. It was time to rest. Sophie was so tired that she almost fell asleep in the suit. 'Oh', she thought, 'there are only three days left and the real hell is coming!' the more she thought about it the more she was getting nervous. She didn't want that day to come, but it was still approaching and inevitable.
