At first, Sophie was seeing only dazzle light. Then the picture started refreshing. She found out that she was standing on a round platform and the 20 participants were forming a circle. In the centre, a digital version of Queen Selena showed up.
"Welcome officially to the battlefield! From this moment the week of challenges begins.
The rules are simple:
You do not attack each other you do not need it at all in these circumstances.
It is strictly forbidden to use black magic and skills.
And finally, you have a certain time for which you need to pass the given challenge.
Once half the time passes, you will hear a sound, and then the challenge will become harder and harder with each passing minute.
Don't forget what you've been taught and stay together because together you're the strongest. I wish you good luck! Your destiny is in your hands!"
After the speech ended, a rumble was heard.
All participants headed for the middle. Isabel had her favourite short hairstyle with only the lily Lucas gave her, and her costume was like Sophie's, but there was almost everywhere a diamond armour protecting her from injury. She wore a pair of short diamond knives at her waist, and her hands were covered in gloves, from which only the end of her fingers could be seen. Axel and Lucas were dressed in dragon skin against very high temperatures.
"So, what do we do now?" Axel asked.
Sophie looked around to see where they were. It was a very dark room with only one light coming from the door.
"We're going that way. We all don't have to split up." Sophie replied.
"And who did decide you be the boss? You may be the heiress to your kingdom, but you can't control us. We're not your subjects." Camille snapped. The hair covered her eye and, as usual, she was dressed in her notorious red. It wasn't five minutes and she's already started messing with her company!
"Who said someone was controlling you, Camille? We know you, you're uncontrollable, but have a better idea? If not, just shut your mouth and come." defended her Isa.
"Leave her alone, cousin, don't bother," calmed her down Valentina.
She was dressed in a green suit with only a few roses with a light scarf. Her hair was tied in a high ponytail with one of the roses, specifically, the crystal rose from Eric. He was next to her with the others ready to go. "Just to target, we don't have much time," she added
Once they crossed the door, they found themselves in a completely different place. The sky lit up with some frightening-sinister light, the air was filled with bitter aroma. The state of the place was frightening. Thousands of tents covered the ground, and as soon as the newcomers arrived, people dressed in rags begging for help began.
Tina was shocked by the sight. It hurt her heart to look at the poor people. She wore a couple of jewels and started giving them away.
"Tina, I think we should go. You said yourself we don't have time."
"And leave them alone? No way, we're going to help these people first. They need care, and I will give it to them." Tina was always devoted to people. She asked a child to take her where she was most needed.
The child took her to award, which was supposed to be a hospital, and it turned out there was not enough food and water. Tina immediately ordered Sabrina, who was nearby, to pour water and Lucas to light a fire.
She herself channelled all her power, and her eyes lit up and created herbs: chamomile, lime, all that could help. She gave the tea in glasses. To an old infirm woman, she gave her her scarf.
Sophie, Iza and Axel had gone to find out and brought a small amount of fruit and vegetables. Everyone took on their own tasks and prepared hot food. Thankfully, poor people gave them shelter for the night.
A little girl had a fever and she was shaking all the time. Tina went to her immediately. The little girl thought she was seeing an angel. Tina smiled softly at her. The little one had beautiful big eyes and a tender face.
"Hi. I'm Valentina. What's your name, sweetheart?"
"Daisy. " the little girl said with a quiet, feeble voice.
"All right, Daisy, nice to meet you. Can you get some sleep? Come on, now we're going to put a compress on you with herbs, and I will make you a blanket." She smiled warmly and raised her hands in the air, began to tie her plants in a piece of thick fabric and tucked Daisy.
"I can't sleep. Can you tell me a story?"
"Well... All right, sweetheart. Once upon a time, there was a beautiful little girl who dreamed of being on stage and cheering people up. Thus, with its beauty to help everyone. Her parents saw her talent and agreed, and her beauty became her weapon.
Her little dream became big statements throughout her life from a fragile age, until one day she stood up and said: I want to be like the others and use my skills for more useful purposes to help. Her parents agreed, and she became a contestant."
"That was you, right?"
"Well, I told you that, because you can make your dreams come true if you're stubborn and very strong. And to be strong, you must sleep and draw strength."
"I'm scared... what if I'm attacked by the shadows..."
"I will protect you."
And the little girl fell asleep, calmly, that Valentina was protecting her, and what followed was not expected. Daisy was right. At first, no one heard them until the screams in the air were heard.
