Chapter 35 - He That Is Coming Is More Powerful Than You

"The prophecy the witch you had a confrontation with earlier is true. I never revealed it to the Emperor and Empress because I was eagerly waiting for this time," the witch said feebly, her whitish eyeballs directed on the angry princess. Because of her old age, her vision was dim, but with the help of her inner eyes and power, she can recognise people from far distances.

"So you admit to concealing the truth from the royal family, right?" Michelle asked furiously as she takes a few steps closer to the iron bar, demarcating them. "You are well aware of the punishments for concealing a prophecy from the royal family, right?" Michelle asked fiercely.

She raised her right hand into the air, ready to proclaim judgment on the woman who dared to keep such important information from them. What pained her most was that she wouldn't have had to be in the witch's mercy who attacked her earlier if this old hag before her had revealed the prophecy to her.

"How about you let me talk first? You can murder me right here if you are not satisfied with this amazing revelation I am about to make?" The old witch named Anita tried to bargain. She knew that the heartless princess will not spare her if she did not soothe her anger.

"You are the one who said so, I will use my nails to pierce your entire body and afterwards have my maids sprinkle salts and chilly pepper on it. I will then hang your body on a cross for the vultures to feed on if your words are not to my satisfaction," Michelle said, smiling devilishly when she pictured the witch crying out for mercy.

"Ok, I am not afraid because I know that there is nowhere I am going to die in your hands today," the witch said. Michelle kept quiet.

As a short-tempered person who she is, in annoyance, she might forget her parents' order and murder the witch right there if she continues exchanging words with her. Although her parents always pretend as though they loved her, she does not know to what extent they might put up with the pretence, so at the moment she does not want to make them extremely angry with her actions.

"A new prophecy exists, and the only ones who know about the existence of this prophecy are the witches. The prophecy came to existence on your 18th birthday....,"

"Did you just say on my 18th birthday?" Michelle asked, throwing a murderous glare at the witch.

"So this means you have made a fool of me and my parents for two years?" Michelle asked furiously. The witch instantly floated in the air after she finished talking.

"Calm down and let me explain why I never said a word about the prophecy to the Emperor and Empress," the witch spoke. The princess was suffocating her with her powers. Anita was scared that the princess might suffocate her to death if she does not withdraw her powers. She is not afraid of dying in the chosen one's hands but she was afraid of dying with the prophecy.

"I am just wondering. Have you always seen the royal family as a joke because we have been so lenient on you?" Michelle roared, her crimson eyes becoming visible.

"Michelle, calm down and hear me out Ok? I am certain you will regret not listening to what I have to say if you murder me here," Anita tried to talk her out of her anger.

"Relax Michelle, I kept this prophecy a secret from your parent even at the expense of my life because of you. Don't let my efforts for these two years go to waste. Calm down and listen to my explanation," the witch who was at the brink of passing out said weakly.

Michelle slowly shut her eyes to calm down her anger when she heard the woman pleads. Her hold on the witch slowly lost its effect. Anita pant heavily after Michelle's power lost its effect on her. For three minutes, she could not utter a word.

"I have always warned you to think twice before you provoked me, but you would never listen. Be careful or next time I won't be so lenient on you," Michelle warned with no ounce of pity for the old woman.

"And stop wasting my time and begin talking. You don't want me to spend the entire night here, right?" Michelle threatened when the witch continues to keep quiet.

"What Melody said earlier about the heaven sending an immortal to save all inhabitants of the earth is the truth. In fact, his arrival is drawing near," Anita said weakly.

"Oh! So that wretched witch's name is Melody? I will make sure to catch and pay her back in her own coins for what she did?" Michelle said murderously when she recalled what Melody did to her.

"Since you couldn't carry out the purpose you were sent to earth, then they are sending an immortal more powerful than you to save all inhabitants of the earth from the royal family's tyranny rule," Anita stated fearlessly, her gaze on the Princess who chuckled when she heard her words.

"Stop making up a non-existent prophecy about heaven sending someone to save the humans from us. In this world, I am the most powerful being alive. I am invincible, no mortal or immortal can defeat me," Michelle said, smiling proudly.

"You are not incorrect when you said there is no being in this universe superior to you but he that is coming is more superior to you in terms of strength, strategy and knowledge," Anita said grinning to the annoyance of Michelle.

"With the power bestowed upon me as this Princess of this empire, I command you to show me what this immortal looks like and I also order you to tell me what strategy he is going to use to defeat me," Michelle ordered authoritatively, her tone becoming fiercer.
