IN THE ROYAL PALACE
In the King's throne room, the speed at which Michelle entered the large hall unannounced startled her parents, who were deliberating about a serious topic.
"My precious jewel, why do you look so upset? Did somebody dare to annoy you?" Emperor Sampson who has never seen his beloved daughter in this state asked with concern when he saw her fuming.
"Father, you assured me you have exterminated the entire witch clan, right? But how come a witch is roaming around the kingdom?" Michelle asked furiously. Her crimson eyes became reddened even more.
The Empress, an exquisite lady who looks almost the same age as Michelle, stood up from her throne and climb down the stairs to meet her.
Looks could be so deceiving. With how beautiful and young the Empress looks, nobody could be able to fathom that she has lived for over 500 hundred years.
"A witch living in the kingdom? That is impossible," Emperor Sampson exclaimed, masking how surprised he is to hear that a witch actually exists in the kingdom apart from the one locked up in the palace dungeon.
"Are you implying I made up the witch topic?" Michelle asked, glaring daggers at her father. Things in the enormous hall shook violently as if there was an earthquake. Maids and palace guards present in the hall fell because of the impact of the shaking. Even the seat the Emperor was sitting down was not spared from the mysterious trembling of the entire Mansion.
The Empress could hear shattering sounds of objects all over the Mansion.
"Calm down Michelle, your father did not say you were telling lies. I bet he was just surprised to hear you mention the witch clan he thought he had exterminated," the Empress cooed, stretching her hands to touch Michelle. The instant her hands got closer to Michelle, it was violently flung away because of the powerful magic she wields. The spell was too strong for the queen to withstand.
The queen turned and glance at her husband, telling him to do something about the princess. She was afraid that the entire Mansion will come crumbling down on them if they did not appease their angry daughter.
"How could father imply that I, Princess Michelle, is a liar? Did you know she cast a spell on me? For the first time in my entire twenty years of living, do you know how powerless I felt a while ago and you dare to call me a blatant liar?" Michelle shouted, things shaking more violently. The painting hanging just you mean above her father's head came crashing down. It would have fallen on top of his head if he did not use his supernatural power to throw it away.
"What? Her spell worked on you? That is unbelievable," The Empress stated in surprise. She had wanted to scold the princess for challenging her father, but she dare not when she recalled that the entire Mansion was under her powers.
After hearing what is responsible for her anger, she could not help but feel terrible for her beloved daughter. Since she was a teenager, she was called the strongest being alive after she displays prowess in a competition organised by the Emperor.
The Emperor was her master but the day she turned 16 years; she conquered her father in a national competition the Emperor organised.
Although they were both her parents, their powers could never be compared to hers. She is even more powerful than her father, a fallen immortal. There was even a point that they concluded she might become a threat to them if they don't take a drastic step.
"Do you know the most painful part? That old hag laid a curse on me," Michelle snorted. There was no sign of her calming down.
"Is that why you are angry? You are ready to pull the entire building down because of the lousy curse some unknown witch made?" Her father retorted. Although he sounded angry, one could tell that he was trying to calm the furious princess down.
"Have you forgotten your identity as the world's strongest being? The most powerful being earth has ever produced? You are indestructible. You are an immortal who will live forever so there is no curse in this world which can ever harm you," the Emperor added. He smiled when he saw that the effects of her magic on the Mansion have worn off.
"Really?" She asked suspiciously as she took turns in staring at both of her parents for answers. Her mother and father nodded affirmatively. The hall went dead in silence afterwards. Two minutes later she acted as though she had recalled something.
"Father, there is a prophecy the old hag revealed to me. She said the wretched witch living in the dungeon is deliberately hiding the prophecy from us because she is seeking for our doom," Michelle said, looking so relaxed. With her current temperament, nobody would have believed it if told she was the same lady who wanted to tear the entire Mansion down.
"A hidden prophecy?" The now seated Emperor asked, exchanging secret glances with his wife. "Did she say what the prophecy is about?"
"She did, but I did not understand a word she said," Michelle said, staring at her parent's calm expression. Although their expression looked calm but from the thumping sound of their heartbeat, she could tell that they were nervous.
"Why don't we visit the wretched witch? The witch earlier said she knew something about the prophecy," Michelle added. The way the witch relayed the prophecy to her made her feel a bit scared and nervous. Although she did not believe her prophecy she thinks she should clarify the authenticity of the prophecy from the witch living in the palace.
