"Dad and mum threatened to close down my company if I did not agree to work in the family company. You know how much I love this company. I couldn't let them do that. Gabriel talked to them on my behalf but they just wouldn't listen. I also begged my elder brother to help me convinced mum and dad but he said mum and dad wants the best for me so I should do whatever they ask of me. I was mad at him," Gabrielle said fuming in anger when she recalled the day she talked to her elder brother to help convince their parents since they always listen to him but he didn't agree.
"To be honest. I am still very mad at him and I will make sure he does what he hates the most before I will forgive him," Gabrielle stated confidently.
"Don't be mad Ok? I am sure you will definitely find your work at the office fun if you get accustomed to it just like me," Stephanie said playfully trying to make Gabrielle laughed. Coming out of the elevator, it was as if all her employees were informed that the Gabrielle was leaving. They lined up at the ground floor to bid her goodbye. Gabrielle who despised gaining public attention did not have the heart to wave them away like she normally when she thought about all the efforts and feelings they must have put into doing this. She just smiles at them as she continued walking.
"Without you there it won't be fun. You know how annoying Gabriel can be? He will always get on my nerves without you around and I hate that. Although he is my twin I can't understand him sometimes. The way his moods fluctuates always makes me assume that he has a personality disorder," Gabrielle said without batting an eye.
"What? Personality disorder?" Stephanie asked in disbelief.
"Yup, you heard me right. He is my bro so I know what I am saying," Gabrielle said unwaveringly.
"That is so hilarious. I am sure Gabi wouldn't have let it slide if he heard what you have just said about him," Stephanie said smiling.
"Anyways, despite your mean words I know you love him very much," Stephanie added.
"Yeah, you are so damn correct. I love my two bros so much. They are the apple of my eyes at the moment," Gabrielle said beaming.
"Sure they are," Stephanie supported.
"Should I tell you a secret?" Gabrielle asked inaudibly. She moved closer to whisper the words into Stephanie's ears when Stephanie gave her the go-ahead.
"The truth is I love them more than I love my parents," Gabrielle giggled before she climbed into Stephanie's car. Stephanie was shocked that they were already outside the building. She always thought covering the huge distance from the elevator to the entrance of the building was one of the most tiring things to do. She was surprised that time flew by quickly as she talked to Gabrielle.
"I know. I can feel your love for Gabi whenever both of you interact. I can't make any comments about your elder brother since I haven't met him before."
The driver zoomed off immediately.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot to tell you something," Gabrielle said excitedly.
"You look excited so I know it's good news so what is it? I can't wait to hear what you have to say," Stephanie exclaimed delightedly.
"My elder bro is back from his business trip. I can't wait to see him," Gabrielle said smiling.
"Vincent is back? His business trip was sure a long one," Stephanie exclaimed. She didn't look excited again when she learned that Vincent's return was the reason for her excitement. Due to the stories Gabrielle and Gabriel told her about their elder brother, she did not like him. She thinks he is too pompous for her liking.
"Absolutely, one year six months is sure lengthy. I've missed him terribly," Gabrielle said still smiling.
"I am sure he feels the same way," Stephanie replied. Her attitude shows that she has lost interest in the conversation.
"I am planning to introduce you to him. I am sure you will like him.."
"Girl, there is no need for that. After what you've told me about your brother's attitude towards ladies, I think it is a good idea if we don't cross paths ever in this lifetime," Stephanie interrupted her instantly. She has lived peacefully for three years now after she quits acting, she didn't want trouble. Meeting Vincent meant trouble and she wanted to stay out of trouble.
"Steph, his hatred is not for all ladies but beautiful ladies,"
"And I am on top of that list," Stephanie completed the sentence for her.
"You don't have to make it sound bad. He assured me that his dislike for beautiful ladies is not as severe as it was so I am sure he won't freak out when he sees you. In fact, you guys might become friends," Gabriel said optimistically. Deep down she didn't know whom to believe. She didn't know whether to believe his assistant who informed her that her brother's dislike has worsened or her beloved brother who said his condition has gotten better.
"I am satisfied with being friends with you and Gabi," Stephanie concluded.
